You will interact with customers throughout the day, help them find and select products, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met.While you will spend most of your time listening to customers, answering questions, and organizing merchandise, your daily responsibilities may vary by department.Customer Service Associates work in one of the following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets: Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.Key Responsibilities* Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.* Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise* Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies* Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time* Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service* Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds)* Guide customers through shopping or checkout* Complete other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications* 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information* 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets* Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)* Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties* Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodationPreferred Qualifications* 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience* Bi-lingual skills* Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)Lowe's commitment to growth and teamwork extends to the community as well. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. What You'll Get • Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. • Pay starting at $25.80/hour + shift premium depending on hours worked: • 3pm 11pm + $1.50/hour • 11pm 5am + $2.00/hour • Weekly payday on every Friday! • Paid training and access to all the tools and resources you need to be successful. What You'll Need • Must be 18 years of age or older. • To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds. If you are hired to operate this equipment, you will need to weigh under 300lbs. • Experience with some MHE equipment such as a forklift, order picker, or reach truck. • Comfortable with working in various environmental conditions, such as seasonal heat or cold, and staying in a stationary position for long shifts. • Strength to perform physical tasks involving repetitive moving or raising of objects weighing up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. • Punctuality and consistent attendance to help your teammates. • Positive attitude with a focus on exceptional service.
