Our Drivers are valued as a trusted partner and an essential member of the Bunzl family. 4 - 10 hour days | $27/hr. |Paid Weekly Tuesday - Friday Work Schedule | Off Saturday, Sunday and Monday! A Day in the Life: • Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. • Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance. • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. • Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork. • Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured. • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries. • Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately. The Must-Haves: • Valid Class A CDL. • A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards. • Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles. • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities. • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices. • Excellent communication and time-management skills. • Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card. • Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance • Must be able to do overnight runs. Preferred Requirements • At least 2 years of Driving experience. • Experience with GPS and routing software. Substitute Kitchen Assistant/Cashier Schedule: Hours per day and start/end times vary by position; Monday-Friday; School Year Location: District Buildings Supervisor: Department Director Position Type: Classified, Substitute Compensation: $18.39-$18.39/hour; Substitute hours are paid the month following when the work is completed. Degrees eligible for a salary enhancement as follows, regardless of degree program or position with the district (cannot be stacked in the case of multiple degrees (highest degree stipend will be applied)). AA, BA, MA degree, or PhD, adds $0.50/hour, $1.00/hour, $1.50/hour, $2.00/hour, respectively Benefits: Upon reaching 630 hours worked, substitutes will become eligible for and be offered medical, dental, vision, and basic life and AD&D insurance through SEBB Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance. Duties and Responsibilities The substitute Kitchen Assistant will fill vacant positions as needed with the following: • Performs duties including preparing food for serving such as but not limited to fruit, vegetables, and other menu items as directed by the kitchen lead or other supervisory authority. • Ensures that an adult is stationed at the point of service (end of the line). • Keeps workstations in a neat and orderly condition. • Assists cook with keeping accurate recipes and information for substitutes. • Practices all appropriate and mandated sanitation and health standards including but not limited to: Maintaining all products to proper temperature, sanitizing equipment and work surfaces to avoid cross contamination of raw foods including meats, vegetables and any other food items, follow HACCP procedures when handling raw chicken, pork and beef • Prepares next day menu items, assists in ordering supplies and inventory. Each of the positions in the Nutrition Services Department serves as one unit of the whole team, and as such, is subject to assignment to tasks in other areas within the classification. Qualifications and Abilities 1. High school diploma or G.E.D. required. 2. Ability to read, write, understand and carry out oral/written directions as well as demonstrated ability to do basic mathematic calculations. 3. Demonstrated knowledge of district policies, procedures relating to Nutrition Services as well as the federal, state and local laws/requirements in the following area: a. Breakfast and lunch menu patterns, USDA rules and regulations. b. Proper methods of preparing (including baking) ingredients in large quantities. c. Ability to fill in for the cook as required on an infrequent basis. 4. Ability to perform physical requirements of the position including: a. Occasional lifting (up to a maximum of 40 pounds) b. Reaching overhead c. Climbing on ladder or stool as required 5. Demonstrates positive interactions with staff, students, and public. 6. Must hold a current valid food handler's permit. 7. Membership in WSNA is preferred. 8. Must be first aid certified. New hires must be able to obtain first aid certification within 90 days of hire. 9. Must be able to promote nutrition education in kitchen and classroom. 10. Must be self-motivated and capable of working in a team setting.
