Job Title: Delivery Driver Wage/Hour Status: Non-ExemptReports to: Warehouse Supervisor Pay Grade: A03Dept./School: Distribution Center Length of Contract: 12.0 MosDate Revised: April 27, 2026Primary PurposeDrive delivery route to campuses and other facilities delivering purchase orders and other supplies. Assist in pickup and delivery of furniture, records and band equipment.QualificationsEducation/Certification:High school diploma or GEDValid Texas drivers license (Class C)Special Knowledge/SkillsAbility to operate hand tools and mechanical equipmentAbility to operate personal computerAbility to read supply requisitions and perform basic arithmeticAbility to operate light truckExperienceTwo years of experience with deliveries and inventory control procedures.Major Responsibilities And DutiesReceivingVerify accuracy of shipments by counting items, the description, and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damage.Open crates and other containers using hand tools to unpack items received. Inspect shipments for damage and defects.InventoryMove inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, and hand cart.Sort and store items according to established procedures.Requisition additional supplies from purchasing department as needed.DistributionDrive truck to various locations to deliver materials. Obtain authorized signature for supplies requested.Load and unload delivery truck by hand or by use of hand truck.SafetyOperate tools, equipment and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedures.Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, carrying, etc.Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.OtherDetect needed repairs on vehicles and equipment by following established inspection procedures.General Employee RequirementsSupport and align work with the mission, vision and beliefs of the district.Follow and support board policies in areas of related responsibility.Ensure district resources are managed effectively to maximize resources for student learning.Share in the development and implementation of district success plans.Actively participate in ongoing development to improve work quality and district contributions.Model integrity, work ethic, and professionalism as a suitable example for LISD students.#J-18808-Ljbffr
