Requirements • Must have a Texas RME-I License • Working knowledge of wet, dry, pre-action systems and deluge systems as well as backflow and minimum knowledge of fire pumps. And have the knowledge to troubleshoot these systems. • Proficient in NFPA 13, 20 & 24 code requirements. • Ability to use trade appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safety • Ability to train others to use trade appropriate tools efficiently and safely. • Have minimum skills to operate a basic service platform. • Minimum 2 years' experience in Sprinkler Service / Inspections setting. • Clear background and must be able to pass a hair follicle. Position Summary: The Customer Solutions & Claims Specialist is the primary point of contact for customers and the sales organization, managing the end-to-end Order to Cash and reverse logistics processes to ensure a seamless customer experience. This role drives order accuracy, on-time delivery, and efficient resolution of returns, refusals, and OS&D issues. By independently resolving complex challenges, collaborating across functions, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities, the Specialist helps maximize customer satisfaction, strengthen customer relationships, and support the organization's service, revenue, and operational performance goals. Location Preference: This role is primarily remote; however, candidates located on Long Island, NY are strongly preferred to support in-person trainings, meetings, and other business needs. Responsibilities: • Analyze order exceptions and identify opportunities to improve customer order patterns and reduce order touches • Coordinate with customer carriers to secure ocean bookings and air freight shipments, ensuring pickup and delivery meet required cutoff dates • Monitor account-specific issues upon order receipt; independently resolve issues and coordinate with customers and cross-functional partners to process blocked orders within SLA requirements • Ensure account-specific orders are shipped complete and on time, tracking orders from entry through receipt and resolving carrier issues with the traffic team while communicating delays to customers • Monitor open orders in accordance with the Daily Activity Schedule and required task cadence • Advise stakeholders of potential delays or inventory challenges that may impact lead time expectations • Review and align to general requirements within IMS Product Briefs • Optimize distribution costs through collaboration with Physical Logistics, Demand & Supply Planning (DSP), Transportation, and Supply Chain Analytics • Ensure warehouse time slots are utilized to support workload requirements • Partner with the Order Fulfillment team to resolve out-of-stock and allocation issues, including displays, new item launches, and customer promotions, and communicate mitigation plans when needed • Generate and compile all required export documentation, including Certificates of Origin, Health Certificates, Chamber of Commerce documentation, USDA documentation, Certificates of Free Sale, Seaway BOLs, Batch Mark Lists, and Shipper's Letters of Intent/Instructions • Provide visibility to customers and internal teams on order status and apply appropriate root cause reason codes in accordance with global methodology • Capture, create, and register return requests accurately while analyzing reasons for refusals • Assess return request compliance with Market Return Policy conditions and obtain Sales authorization when requests exceed policy thresholds • Propose mitigation actions to reduce or eliminate future return and refusal issues • Prioritize "drive waiting" inquiries to reduce carrier and driver wait times at customer locations Requirements: • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, but not required • 2+ years of supply chain experience required (e.g., Order Management, Distribution, Inventory Management, Transportation, Demand & Supply Planning) • Export experience preferred • Knowledge of SAP preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook • Intermediate Excel skills, including working with large datasets, VLOOKUPs, and PivotTables • Working knowledge of export business Skills: • Sound business acumen and sense of urgency • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data • Strong organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Working knowledge of export business • Bilingual preferred (Spanish or Chinese) The approximate pay range for this position is $53,000- $63,000 base. Construction Plans Examiner I/II The Community Planning, Housing and Development (CPHD) Department is hiring a Construction Plans Examiner I/II to join its Inspection Services Division (ISD). The Examiner is responsible for examining construction documents for commercial structures/buildings, including new construction, additions, and alterations to existing buildings to ensure compliance with the building design standards adopted by the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (VUSBC). Projects are complex due to size, multiplicity of structures, advanced design of installed systems, and advanced construction methods and techniques. This position may also be responsible for reviewing other projects such as residential structures and one and two-family dwellings. Responsibilities Specific duties include: • Review and approval of construction documents for compliance with the International Building Code, International Residential Code, and VUSBC; • Interpret and enforce codes, regulations and ordinances; • Conduct field visits to survey and evaluate buildings and systems; • Provide code consultation services to builders, developers, engineers, property owners, architects and other governmental agencies; • Represent the division and the County at meetings and public hearings; and • Develop, participate, and defend code change proposals at the local, state, and national level. The successful candidates will possess the following skills: • Analytical thinking to perform work in accordance with accepted code standards and applicable legal ordinances and regulations. • Considerable knowledge of and the ability to apply modern principles and practices of building and architectural technical field. • Knowledge of, and a commitment to, customer-service and client-focused service-delivery systems, including knowledge of computer applications relevant to the field. • Skill in collaborating with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and government professionals to facilitate compliance with applicable permitting, engineering, and code requirements. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse staff, community representatives, clients and professional peers, including effective verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to construction, buildings, or related field; and • Some responsible experience in building engineering/construction, including experience working with construction plans. Substitution: Additional qualifying experience in an area or areas of specialization (e.g., plumbing, construction, mechanical or electrical engineering) may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis. Desirables: Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following: • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • Experience working with the International Building Code and International Residential Code; • Experience reading and interpreting construction documents, specifications, codes, regulations and/or ordinances; • Experience responding to public inquiries; and/or • Certification by International Code Council (ICC) or a Virginia Residential or Commercial Building Plans Examiner.
