Expo Position Position Summary: The Expo is responsible for monitoring orders and their flow from the cashiers to the line cooks and then to the food runners. This position is responsible for gathering all items on the check from the culinary team once they are prepared, ensuring that the order is complete, and that it is prepared to spec before being handed to the guest. Responsibilities: • Welcome guests with a warm smile and energetic greeting when they approach the counter and ensure that their needs are met. • Assemble all orders as they are prepared by the culinary team ensuring that they are efficiently processed and that all items, sauces, and any condiments are included. • Communicate effectively with food runners to ensure food is delivered timely and accurately to each dine in guest. • Prepare food for carryout, as requested, ensuring that all items are included and notify the guest that the order is ready. • Utilize the order and ticketing system to ensure that all orders are processed accurately and efficiently. • Other related responsibilities. Requirements and Experience: Previous experience in a guest or customer facing position preferred, but not necessary. Ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability and willingness to smile and interact in a genuinely energetic, warm, and attentive manner towards guests and co-workers. Excellent communication skills, including reading order tickets, in order to interact effectively with guests and coworkers and ensure order accuracy. Able to identify if there is a problem with the flow of the line, then identify and communicate the issue. Excellent organizational skills and ability to ensure efficient and accurate processing of orders. Education: No formal education beyond high school experience required.
