POSITION SUMMARYThe Assistant Store Manager partners with the General Manager to lead all aspects of store operations, including firearms sales, general retail, training services, and range activities. This role serves as a key leader within the store, responsible for driving performance, developing team members, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining a safe, secure, and profitable environment.The Assistant Store Manager works collaboratively with the General Manager and all team members to uphold Frontier Justice's core values of faith, family, and freedom while delivering a consistent, high-quality client experience.In the absence of the General Manager, this role assumes full leadership responsibility for the store and is expected to take ownership of store performance, lead by example, and uphold Frontier Justice's standards in all areas of the business.This position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIESAchieve ResultsDrive store performance by executing sales strategies that meet or exceed revenue, conversion, and average ticket goals.Supervise daily retail operations by effectively coordinating staff to deliver exceptional client service and achieve sales targets.Identify current and future client needs through relationship building, strong product knowledge, and awareness of market trends.Actively coach and develop team members to improve performance, product knowledge, and sales effectiveness.Maintain organized, secure, and fully stocked merchandise displays that support sales and enhance the client experience.Support the growth of key business areas, including memberships, training services, and retail sales.Operational ExcellenceEnsure strict adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, including ATF compliance and company policies related to firearms sales and range operations.Oversee inventory processes to maintain accuracy, minimize shrink, and ensure proper control of all merchandise.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility across all areas, including retail and range environments, with a high standard for presentation.Execute and enforce all opening and closing procedures with consistency and accountability.Support the facilitation of events, training classes, and promotional initiatives to drive traffic and engagement.Communicate proactively with the General Manager regarding operational performance, maintenance needs, risks, and client feedback.Utilize all technology systems effectively, including POS, scheduling, and reporting tools, to support operations and decision making.RelationshipsBuild and maintain strong, cooperative relationships across all departments and levels of the organization.Foster positive and professional relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to support business growth and operational success.Lead by example, promoting a culture of accountability, respect, and teamwork aligned with Frontier Justice's mission and values.Take ownership of the client experience, ensuring every interaction reflects the standards and expectations of the brand.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / KEY COMPETENCIESDemonstrated leadership ability with a strong focus on team development, accountability, and performance management.Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable to achieve individual and store-level goals.Strong understanding of retail operations, firearms sales, and range environments, or the ability and willingness to be trained.Working knowledge of inventory control, loss prevention, and operational procedures.High level of organizational, problem solving, and decision-making skills.Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and operational management tools.Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance, safety, and accuracy.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout both retail and range environments.Ability to work in an environment with elevated noise levels consistent with an indoor shooting range.RequirementsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED required; Assists pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow. • Reports, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program. Reviews and complies with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct. • Strictly adheres to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities. • Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. • Processes (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. • Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of Company asset protection techniques, and files claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs. • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products). • Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. The Truck Driver / Warehouse Associate drives Flintco Fleet vehicles, tractor-trailer combinations and performs all duties of a warehouse worker as needed.
