Position Summary Position: Imaging Assistant I Department: Lake Mary Imaging Ctr Location: 392 Rinehart Rd Lake Mary, FL Shift: Full-time | Day Shift Position Summary Observes and assists in various capacities to Orlando Health Imaging areas. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Transports bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPPA and handoff compliance. • Uses double identifiers on every patient per The Joint Commission regulations for patient safety. • Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies. • Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility. • Assists with stocking and cleaning of rooms, puts away supplies correctly. • Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions and/or incidents to supervisor for follow up. • Returns equipment to designated storage area and maintains transport equipment. Cleans, deodorizes, and disinfects equipment as needed. • Maintains O2/suction supplies as required per facility. • Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately. • Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed. • Adheres to Orlando Health's mission statement and strategic imperatives. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements. Other Related Functions • Attends meetings and in-services as required. • Maintains knowledge and skill level necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients age and status. • Responsible for professional growth. Qualifications Education/Training • High School graduate or equivalent is required. Licensure/Certification • BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire Work Experience • None

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Demonstrated ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. • Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax, and scanner. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and others of diverse backgrounds. • Ability to request and collect co-pays and outstanding balances. • Must have highly developed social and communication skills. • Excellent judgment and the ability to stay calm and level-headed in difficult situations. • Proficiency in word processing/typing. • Strong customer service skills.
