Warehouse Worker/Temporary Cover Driver Warehouse workers and temporary cover drivers work inside the warehouse and drive our familiar brown trucks, bringing packages to customers. They're a friendly, physically active crew who enjoy being outdoors, fast-paced work, and being behind the wheel! Warehouse Shipping Clerk For our state-of-the-art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility, Leprino is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Clerk. Leprino Foods broke ground on the $1 billion facility in the summer of 2022. The plant will become operational in 2025 with Phase 1 and will become fully operational by 2026! This position pays $23.65 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay. Summary Description: The Warehouse Shipping Clerk provides accurate and timely coordination of all cheese, protein, lactose, and non-fat dry milk shipments from, to and between Leprino facilities and outside suppliers. This position is required to effectively coordinate the shipment and receipt of packages with internal departments at the plant. All other duties as assigned. Job Duties (Accountability Categories and Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities): • Reconcile orders and inventory, daily, to ensure that all orders are filled. • Communicate requirements to warehouse supervisor and quality supervisor and follow up to ensure that product is available to load. • Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound appointments. • Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as needed. • Coordinate and ensure accuracy of all required shipping and receiving documents including COA's, BOL, packing slips. • Reconcile shipments from other Leprino facilities and coordinate incoming materials and outgoing products. • Coordinate and reconcile all sales returns to the Greeley facility in a timely manner. • Assist with warehousing: movement of product, disposition or on hold, and inventory. • Coordinate movement of trucks and availability of dock spaces. • Maintain positive relationships with all customer contacts. • Follows SOP's, GMP's and perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct. • Maintain 5S standards. • This position is responsible and accountable to ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies. Minimum Qualifications & Experience: • Must be 18 years of age • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English language • Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective action as necessary • Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairs • Ability to complete written reports, and enter data into and pull data from computer systems • Basic math skills to be able to perform mathematical functions • Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures • Ability to maintain clean work area according to good manufacturing processes • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all applicable safety practices • Good communication skills to communicate with co-workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts • Must be able to operate personal computer software, SAP, FEDEX/UPS shipping portals, as well as other office equipment. Let Purvis Industries show you how we practice these principles daily! Job Duties The Delivery Driver/Warehouse role will identify products, conduct inventory, and execute delivery runs. These responsibilities and physical requirements include, but are not limited to, the following: • Team members will be walking or standing for most of every workday; the remaining time will be spent sitting/driving a company vehicle, sitting at a desk, or working in the warehouse. • Must accurately identify products, requiring basic reading skills and learning about the company's products. • Identify incoming shipments, compare products received to the packing slip, noting any differences, and forward the packing slip to Order Processing on time. • Put a delivery run together, organize deliveries, and log deliveries into a delivery log. • Stock products on shelves in a first-in, first-out order. • Pull products based on delivery tickets and double-check the order for accuracy. • Responsible for processing UPS and motor freight shipments. • Load all products into a delivery truck and drive and unload all products at customer's locations. • When delivering the product, a driver is responsible for having the customer sign the delivery ticket accepting the order. One copy should be given to the customer and the other to Order Processing when the driver returns to the branch office. • Hose Assemblies • Conveyor belt cuts Must be able to assemble a delivery run by pulling, organizing, inspecting for accuracy, and logging deliveries into the delivery log daily. Assist Branch and/or Operations Managers in other areas as needed. Physical Requirements • Employee must be able to lift products to 70 pounds daily. • Heavy products are stocked from ground height to 6' in size. • Product to be delivered must be lifted into the back of trucks approximately 3' height for ton trucks and 4' height for large trucks. • Ability to climb stairs with products in hand to be delivered to customers or our locations. Driver Eligibility • Must be 18 years of age or older • Must have a minimum of 2 years driving experience • No more than two moving violations in the past 18 months (i.e., speeding, failure to yield, failure to stop, no safety belt, etc.) • No more than three moving violations in the past 36 months • No more than one at-fault accident with no bodily injury and one moving violation in the past three years • No more than one at-fault accident with bodily injury in the past three years • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
