Job Title What Is A Retail Parts Pro? Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role has expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive system knowledge and part knowledge. This role has the ability for advanced identification, trouble shooting and project assistance for DIY customers. The role has the ability to source from numerous places including special order, FDO, second source, etc. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes. Position is full time. Primary Responsibilities • Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls • Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives • Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc. • Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards • Key holder responsibilities (task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties) Secondary Responsibilities • Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc. • Store Cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot • Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc. Success Factors • Friendly communication • Ability to locate and stock parts • Safety knowledge and skills • Operating inventory systems and store equipment • Parts and automotive system knowledge skills • Operating POS and Parts lookup systems • Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services • ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent • Advanced solution, project and product quality recommendation ability • Advanced parts lookup and sourcing • Advanced selling skills for DIY Essential Job Skills Necessary For Success As A Retail Parts Pro • Working knowledge of automotive systems, and diagnostic ability to include: internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc. • Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and management • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; ability to write simple correspondence • Understand and execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form • Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals • Use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel required) • Strong organizational skills • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed Prior Experience That Sets A Retail Parts Pro Up For Success • 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience • Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions Education Certificates, Licenses, Registrations • Must have a valid driver's license • ASE certification preferred, but not required Physical Demands We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.

GENERAL PURPOSE: The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows all company best practice standards as outlined in all work centers, maintains a clean work area at all times, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Retail Associate is expected to be engaged in these tasks as assigned during all working hours and will be expected to perform a range of functions in all areas of the Store as business needs require. The Associate may be requested to perform additional tasks in specific situations, if performance of these tasks will help achieve our Customer service and operational goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do. • Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone. Maintains clutter free, clear egress to emergency exits. Immediately corrects or reports any unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership. • Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; is friendly and professional at all times. Recognizes fellow Associates using Company recognition programs. • Assists Customers in any way necessary - is register-trained, assists Customers with merchandise, and answers Customer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner. Greets all Customers by making eye contact, smiling and saying "hello" throughout the Store as well as saying "thank you" with every register transaction. • Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customers at all times. Responds to Customer Service calls immediately. Handles all Customer issues in a courteous and helpful way, calling a member of the Store Leadership when needed. • Represents and supports the Company brand at all times. • Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas including the front-end, sales floor and restrooms to help maintain merchandise, customer and Team areas. • Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company's dress code at all times. • Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, and replenishing restroom supplies to help maintain merchandise, customer and Team areas. • Performs daily assigned sizing and recovery per company best practice to ensure a neat, clean and organized store that is well-maintained and efficiently merchandised to standards. • Expedites newly received merchandise receipts to the sales floor with a sense of urgency, merchandising all items per company best practice to the monthly presentation guidelines and maintaining merchandise/brand name familiarity within departments to assist Customers. • Understands the Loss Prevention Awareness program, the Shortage Highway, the Store Protection Specialist (SPS) position (where applicable), and merchandise protection standards. • As a representative of Ross Inc., demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions with Associates and Customers.
