Shift: Second Shift (United States of America) Patient Safety Assistant Learn more: My Job In A Minute: Patient Safety Assistant - Nebraska Medicine Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Patient Safety Assistant. This role is focused on monitoring is responsible for observing and interacting with confused, violent, combative, or suicidal patients to prevent injury. They assist with basic patient care functions and notify nursing staff for immediate interventions when needed. They remain in the room at all times, except for breaks, and may also observe multiple patients via video monitoring. This role is crucial for ensuring patient safety, early detection of health issues, and timely medical intervention. Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available Available Shifts: • Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Scheduling Details: • Flexible self-scheduling allows you to select available shifts that fit your lifestyle. • Team members are scheduled for a minimum of 2 shifts per week (16 hours). • To support scheduling flexibility, candidates must be available to work 3-4 days per week, although they may not be scheduled on all available days. • Shifts are available 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Required Qualifications: • Minimum of 18 years of age required. • High school education OR equivalent required. • Excellent communication and behavioral management skills that promote safety of confused or suicidal patients required. Preferred Qualifications: • Health care student, military medic experience OR comparable work experience in a health care environment preferred. What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver: • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition. • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery. • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises. • Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions. • Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate: • At least 21 years of age • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A) • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience • Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards. Fit the following?
