Responsibilities • Customer Assistance & Communication – Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and ensure positive interactions through clear, professional communication. • Leadership & Teamwork – Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment. Support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities. • Sales & Metrics Mindedness – Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance customer experience, while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics. • Inventory Management & Store Operations – Restock merchandise, maintain organization, and follow proper cash handling procedures, loss prevention policies ensuring proper financial management. Keep store operations running smoothly. • Process Orientation & Safety Compliance – Utilize structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Follow company safety policies and use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to maintain a secure work environment. • Product Knowledge & Installation Services – Stay up-to-date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems. Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations. • Diagnostics Support – Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions. Qualifications What We're Looking For • Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to apply. • Automotive Knowledge: Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required. • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, load and deliver merchandise. • Flexible Schedule: Full-time flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver: • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition. • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery. • Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises. • Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions. • Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate: • At least 21 years of age • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A) • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience • Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
