I-5 Cars is seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Flat Rate Detail Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for cleaning, detailing, reconditioning, and preparing vehicles for customer delivery and lot presentation standards. Compensation is production-based under a flat-rate pay structure. Earnings may vary depending on productivity, efficiency, experience, and workflow volume. Benefits/Perks • Healthcare- medical, dental, vision, HSA • 401K with employer match • Employee Discounts-sales, parts, and service • 100% employer paid tuition and books through Strayer University for employees and their families! • Flat-rate hourly earnings range: $17.13 $34.00 per hour, depending on production and performance • Full-time position, Monday-Friday • 2 weeks paid vacation, paid sick time and 7 paid holidays Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Wash, wax, buff, polish, and detail interior and exterior vehicle surfaces • Vacuum carpets, upholstery, and trunk areas • Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, door jambs, and engine compartments • Shampoo carpets and upholstery as needed • Apply protective coatings and detailing products • Remove stains, odors, and debris from vehicle interiors • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and quality standards prior to delivery • Move and park vehicles safely on dealership property • Maintain detailing equipment, tools, and work areas in clean and safe condition • Follow dealership safety procedures and chemical handling requirements • Communicate with managers regarding vehicle status and production flow • Perform additional duties as assigned Physical Requirements This position regularly requires: • Standing and walking for extended periods • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching • Repetitive hand and arm movements • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds • Entering and exiting vehicles repeatedly throughout the shift • Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, dust, water, and vehicle exhaust • Ability to operate vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions Qualifications • Prior detailing experience preferred but not required • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Strong attention to detail and quality standards • Reliable attendance and punctuality • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Equal Employment Opportunity I-5 Cars is an equal opportunity employer and consider applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected status under applicable federal, Washington State, or local law.
