Job description

School Term Position Paid CDL Training Competitive Salaries Salary determined by experience and current salary schedule. Purpose Statement To provide support within the student transportation services area with specific responsibilities for transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions; ensuring vehicle is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses. Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to significantly impact the organization's services. Working Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. There may be occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue. Education High School diploma or GED Qualifications Must be able to read, write and comprehend written and oral instructions Must be a licensed driver Experience Willing to train FLSA Status Non-Exempt Continuing Education/Training Certificates & Licenses Annual Safety Training Videos CDL Random Alcohol and Drug Test CPR Certification Clearances Background Check Pre-employment Physical TB Test For further information contact David Sliger at dsliger@usd394.com or 316-776-3390.
