If you enjoy staying active, work well as part of a team, and take pride in a job well done, this could be a great fit for you.What You'll DoNo two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect:Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they needAssist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along any feedback or requests to the teamUnload trucks, open containers, stock shelves, run overstock on risers, and rotate product to ensure freshnessMonitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries, and report issues accordinglyOrganize stock for greatest efficiency and clean and restock any damaged itemsTag shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawersReport new or different items to the scanning coordinator for system inputWork alongside your teammates to ensure a smooth, efficient overnight operationMaintain compliance with Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policiesAssist in other store areas and take on special projects as neededYou'll receive direction and support from: Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Health Wellness Home, Perishables, Store Operations, and E-commerce, and Overnight Stock ManagerYour SkillsYou don't need prior experience for this role! You may encounter daily exposure to dirt, noise, equipment movement hazards, and cleaning chemicals or solvents, with occasional exposure to temperature extremes and potential electrical shock. The role involves working with and around heavy store equipment. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students' academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential. Responsibilities include: • Providing daily supervision and mentorship • Managing household routines and student schedules • Administering medications and ensuring student wellness • Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students • Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel • Overseeing budgeting and household reporting Upon hire, Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes and follow a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. On weekdays, houseparents have unscheduled time while students are in school. Flex Houseparents eventually transition into a Placed Houseparent role, where they live and work with the same group of students in their own student home.
