Crew Member Position Summary: The Landscape Crew member performs a variety of landscaping tasks under the close supervision of the Operations Manager. Daily work may be performed at, commercial properties, parks, etc. A daily work schedule is created by the Operations Manager. Crew Member Responsibilities: • Cuts grass (using either a riding or push mower), maintains lawn, trims and edges around trees, walkways, flower beds, walls, and markers. • Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, and twigs and removes weeds. • Sprays lawn, shrub, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides. • Applies mulch as needed • Clears debris and maintains driveways and walkways in safe condition • Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shear • Assists with the loading and unloading of supplies, equipment and/or merchandise. • Cleans and properly stores equipment. • Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment. • Must use required personal protective equipment (PPE). • May be called upon to drive a truck with equipment and crew to all the work locations. • Install & Construction employees specialize in installing plants, flowers and bushes according to a predetermined landscape design. • This is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, and it may be changed at any time at the employer's request. • Assist with site set up of plant materials • Keeps job site staging area clean and organized • Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs • Assist in keeping the job site tidy, organized and safe • Use all installation tools according to company safety policy • Maintains, cleans, and properly stores equipment. • Other duties as required.
