Job Description Job Title: Substitute Library Clerk Qualifications: Required: • Minimum of High School Diploma required, advanced degree preferred. • Prefer experience in library science. • Prefer experience with computers. • Knowledge of children's literature. • Organizational ability. • Experience in working with children. • High school graduate. Reports to:Building Principal Job Goal:To assist the teacher librarian and building principal in the maintenance of the library collection and in the operations of the library/media center, providing assistance to students and teachers. Performance Responsibilities: • Maintain library collection at direction of teacher librarian. • Assist students in finding appropriate materials. • Assist teaching staff in securing appropriate reference materials. • Under the direction of the teacher librarian, assist students in use of the media center. • Keep abreast of children's literature materials in consultation with teaching staff. • Assist teaching staff in securing AV equipment and materials. • Provide minor maintenance on AV equipment. • Maintain library area as a functional teaching center. • Maintain library inventory. • Recommend additions or deletions to the library collection. • Library instruction within units of study. • Provide an appropriate role model for the students. • Maintain confidentiality on sensitive information. • Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands • Must be capable of standing throughout the work day. • Must present appropriate appearance and personal cleanliness suited to working in close proximity to school age children and adults. • Must be able to work with interruptions during a work shift. • Must be capable of working with students with different personalities, capabilities, and physical and mental limitations. • Must have physical dexterity in limbs and digits necessary to physically interact with children in a school setting. Note: The physical demands described above represent real life tasks an employee may need to perform as part of the essential functions of this job. While the frequency may be low, the above stated physical demands may be required during the course of a daily work shift. Tasks that have physical demands that exceed the above stated limits should only be performed with sufficient manpower or material handling equipment. Warehouse Coordinator Responsibilities: Responsible for the coordination of the warehouse on-site activities, managing receipts, stocking, and shipping of products; staging and delivering customer orders; and all purchasing transactions with Hussmann Services and local vendors. Stages, ships and receives parts, equipment, and supplies. Inputs inventory into BSS System. Maintains proper stocking levels to conform to current lean inventory practices. Delivers parts to customer locations or job sites as needed. Filing of freight bills of lading, and equipment packing slips for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes. Completion of freight claims for damaged goods. Manages receipts, inspects, and stocks incoming products from internal and external customers. Prepares Gang Boxes for pick up or delivery for technician use on jobsite. Ensures proper working order of tools and equipment. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Formal Education Requirement: Required Level: High School Diploma/GED, Associates Degree Preferred Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: 0 5 Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities/task in a fast-paced work environment. Strong communication skills, verbal and written, required. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational, time management skills. Flexibility to work outside normal working hours, as required. Working knowledge of basic refrigeration and/or knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC is preferred. Forklift experience is preferred. Must have basic math skills including an understanding of weight, measurement, and volume.
