CHAS Health's comprehensive compensation package* includes: • Annual milestone bonus for all eligible employees! $500 for every year worked, up to $5,000. • Robust health coverage with employer-offered medical, dental, vision, long-term care, and life insurance. • 401(k) with up to 6% employer match for a retirement plan that invests in your future. • Work/life balance —enjoy more than six (6) weeks of paid time off (PTO) annually for full-time employees, to recharge and refresh. • Tuition assistance and student loan repayment —let CHAS Health pay for your education! • Up to $7,500 for childcare annually through reimbursement, to help you balance work and family life. • CME and license fee reimbursement —we've got you covered. * Offered benefits dependent upon employee eligibility and criteria Job Description: Purpose of Job: Improves the overall health of the communities we serve by delivering exceptional patient scheduling and supporting real ‑ time in-clinic care team coordination as follows: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provides excellent customer service as a first point of contact for patients, determining caller needs, managing calls appropriately, and delivering accurate information about services, locations, providers, and access options. • Schedules follow-up appointments before the patient leaves the clinic and, per our Team-Based Care model, provides in-room scheduling when appropriate to support continuity of care, scheduling accuracy, and enhanced patient experience. • Conducts proactive outreach to reschedule missed appointments and actively manages a patient waitlist to improve access. • Schedules visits in alignment with provider preferences and updated guidelines, ensuring accurate visit types, lengths, interpreter needs, and appropriate patient flow. • Monitors provider schedules for gaps, cancellations, and optimization opportunities and collaborates with onsite care team members to fill openings and adjust schedules based on workflow needs. • Develops and maintains expertise in clinic workflows, provider templates, and scheduling standards to support efficient operations. • Communicates appointment details clearly and ensures patient understanding of next steps. • Documents scheduling activity and patient communication actions in the electronic health record. • Supports scheduling and access-related quality improvement initiatives and updates scheduling practices in alignment with new guidelines or provider changes. • Performs other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values. Qualifications: Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience working in clinical setting strongly preferred. Prior customer service experience strongly preferred. Skills: Attention to detail required. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations required. Excellent customer service skills required. Strong oral and written communications skills required. Compassion for patients required. Ability to function well in team environment required. Ability to multi-task in fast-paced work environment, with ability to anticipate future needs, required. Computer skills required. Valid drivers' license and insurance required. Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment is required. Physical Demands: Must be able to move around the facility between one-third and two-thirds of the day, as well as sit or stand at a workstation and in patient rooms. Using hands occurs over two-thirds of the day, while reaching with arms occurs less than one-third of the day. Communicating in person with patients and staff in clinical settings is required over two-thirds of the day, while climbing, stooping, or crawling is minimal. Lifting up to 10 lbs. occurs about half the time, while up to and above 25 lbs. occurs only occasionally. Must be able to travel between clinic sites to meet coverage needed and move about patient care areas. About The Role POSITION SUMMARY: Assists the Accountant performing a variety of accounting assignments in accordance with standard procedures. The pay range for this position is: $18.49 to $27.73 per hour. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITES AND DUTIES: • Ensures the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, including but not limited to: reviewing, coding, and processing of A/P check requests, researching vendor statements, inquiries, and discrepancies, maintaining A/P system records • Ensures all requests for payment (invoices, donation requests, etc.) are properly documented and approved. • Research past due invoices/balance and contact vendors as needed. • Assigns each payment to correct general ledger account(s) in accordance with the GBCI General Ledger Manual. • Inputs payments using the Flexi Sharepoint accounts payable system. Expenditures are processed daily. • Scans all invoices and documentation into the Flexi Sharepoint system. • Requests a W-9 for all new vendors and coordinates with GBCI Accounts Payable for the assignment of the vendor ID. • Collects signed ACH Payment Authorization forms from vendors and employees and validates accuracy of the information provided in accordance with policy and procedure. Submits authorized forms to the GBCI Accounts Payable department for processing. • Assist with vendor management. • Ensures that A/P processing is in accordance with GBCI policies and procedures • Prepares and posts daily and monthly journal and/or adjusting entries to the general ledger. Ensures that proper supporting documents are attached to the approved entries and validates transaction(s) for reasonableness before posting entries. Obtains proper approval for all entries posted. • Prepares and reviews reconciliations of general ledger and correspondent bank accounts on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis as assigned to meet GBCI/bank divisions' schedule and SOX Key Controls. Research reconciling differences and note explanations on reconcilements timely. • Assists Accounting Department Supervisor with fixed asset tracking for branches in accordance with GBCI policies and procedures. • Assists other departments and/or GBCI Accounting with the research of unposted, mis-posted and outstanding items. • Assists with the preparation of various accounting reports. • Assists with annual escheatment letters and reporting. • Scan and file documents as needed. • Answer phone. • Additional duties and/or projects, as assigned.
