Produce Clerk This description is intended to outline the primary responsibilities, general nature and level of work being performed by teammates assigned to this position. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and competencies of the Produce Clerk. The incumbent may be assigned other duties and responsibilities. Responsible for assisting the Produce Manager in all aspects of the produce department. Serves as a model for customer service and other vital behaviors, and instills this value in all teammates. Creates an environment for continual learning and encourages an open dialogue among teammates. Provides leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of Lowe's guiding principles, core values, and vision. - Control level of damaged and spoiled/out of date products and ensures proper disposition of same according to company policy. - Communicate and coordinate with Produce Manager. - Follow approved procedures for receiving product, pricing, marking and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy and product rotation. - Implement and follow department merchandising plan. - Assist in training department teammates. - Assist in maintaining signs, pricing, refrigerated cases and display shelves, by performing scheduled inspections of those areas. - Complies with department compliance of company policies, programs, procedures and guidelines. - Keep work area maintained appropriately to ensure a safe work environment for teammates and customers. - Must be able to perform other duties. - Constantly interacts with customers. - Works with teammates to identify the root causes of issues and inefficiencies. - Constantly interacts with teammates to ensure that all teammates understands Lowe's expectations. - Frequent exposure to refrigerated storage areas and damp, humid conditions. Works on wet or slippery surfaces. Noise level normally moderate. Can be extreme when power tools or other equipment are in use. Subject to communicable disease. - Heavy work- exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires walking and/ or standing up to a significant degree. Must be able to climb, stand, bend, push or pull, twist, grasp, squeeze,stoop, kneel, squat, reach, handle, finger and feel. Job Title Interpret documents to select the most appropriate code for entry into the Justice Management System; docket all pleadings on the computer; testify in court; conform documents; answer phone calls; assist in courtroom with juvenile pleas; issue services including citations,summonses, and other documents; administratively close completed cases; interact daily with judges and probation department; data entry on incoming transfer cases. Essential Duties Monitor, track and perform extensive data entry of each individual case from filing to disposition and beyond. Process dispositions of cases, including entering disposition code, and mailing various forms. Recognize documents that are sealed by statute. Seal documents and files as ordered by the court. Data entry for court documents and prepare for imaging. Initiate efficient procedures for processing and docketing cases. Process motions and orders, including file marking documents, entering into the computer, obtaining judge's signature, and sending copies to the attorney, defendant, and probation department. Process dispositions of cases, including closing out file once plea has been heard or judgment received, sending certified copies of the judgment or commitment papers to the Criminal District Attorney's office, probation department, submitting payment of court appointed attorney to County Auditor, and entering disposition information in the computer. Docket incoming transfer cases; number all documents. Issue subpoenas, including receiving state or defense applications for subpoenas, preparing and sending subpoenas to the sheriff or private process server, and entering into the computer. Attend and assists the court with juvenile pleas. Act as liaison between district clerk, judge, attorneys, court personnel and all other interested parties. As official custodian of record, testify in court. Ensure each case is properly prepared for court. Pull files for announcements, appearances, and juvenile pleadings. Prepare juvenile CR-43J forms for Department of Public Safety to be submitted online. Research files. Perform other duties as requested by the District Clerk. Position Requirements Qualification Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Computer data entry experience and customer service experience required. Supplemental Information Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs. Must have knowledge of modern office equipment and filing systems. Must have knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Must be able to type or keyboard data entry at a rate of 45 net words per minute. Must have knowledge and skills to perform basic math principles. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public. Must be able to prioritize tasks to be performed. Must be able to work independently in the absence of supervision. Must be able to respond appropriately and professionally to requests and inquiries from the general public and courthouse personnel.
