Skills & Abilities • Proficiency in cash handling and accurate payment transactions. • High comfort level with personal technology, including mobile devices and video platforms and proficiency in computer applications. • Basic math skills. • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks and handle change effectively. • Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments. • Strong performance in a fast-paced team environment. • Effective communication with employees and customers in person, on the phone and in writing. • Highly effective interpersonal skills for building partnerships across the organization. • Self-motivated, competitive spirit with a desire to exceed sales goals. • Positive and professional demeanor, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Bilingual: Spanish. UPS is seeking Package Delivery Drivers to safely operate delivery trucks and deliver packages to residential and commercial customers on an assigned route. Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading packages, following a scheduled delivery route, operating a UPS delivery vehicle, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups. Drivers must be comfortable driving a delivery truck, and some locations may require the ability to drive a manual transmission delivery vehicle. This position requires passing a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and maintaining a valid driver's license with a clean driving record in accordance with UPS and DOT regulations. This position typically pays $45 per hour or more for full-time UPS package delivery drivers, with additional overtime pay available during peak seasons.Drivers are responsible for meeting daily delivery quotas, using handheld scanners to track and confirm deliveries, following all UPS safety procedures, lifting and carrying packages, and maintaining a professional appearance while representing UPS. Drivers must follow company guidelines regarding safe driving practices, package handling procedures, delivery confirmation procedures, and customer interaction standards.Full-time UPS employees may be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, pension plan, 401(k), paid vacation, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and union-negotiated wage increases. UPS drivers may also receive overtime pay, peak season bonuses, and route bid opportunities based on seniority.
