Deportation Officer Entry Level As a Deportation Officer at the Entry Level, you will work with more experienced officers to provide support and perform the following segments of work related to immigration investigation, custody, identification and location, arrest, prosecution anddeportation: • Assist with the apprehension of individuals that are accused of violating immigration or related laws; • Assist with preparing investigative reports in sufficient detail and accuracy to support possible prosecution and/or administrative action; • Perform law enforcement support duties such as taking fingerprints and photographs; • Conduct routine interviews using various law enforcement methods and techniques (e.g., observation, interviews, document inspection, data analysis, etc.) to respond to a variety of immigration inquiries and complaints; and • Document, transport, deport, and/or escort criminal and non-criminal migrants under the guidance of a more senior officer. • Initiate both criminal and civil prosecutions and deport migrants to foreign countries as well as performing various aspects of custodial operations related to civil immigration enforcement. This is an open continuous announcement closing on 09/30/2026. The initial cut-off date for qualified applicants to be considered for selection is scheduled for 08/14/2026. NOTE: Applicants currently serving in the ICE Deportation Officer position cannot use this announcement for reassignment, promotion or change to lower grade purposes. These are non-bargaining unit positions. Future promotions will be dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and administrative approval. Geographic Locations: You have the opportunity to identify TWO geographic preferences in your application. Your preference locations are NOT guaranteed. The duty location extended at the final job offer will be based on the needs of the Agency and availability of positions and funding. The Role The Air Force Lead drives Tagup's growth across the U.S. Air Force and its sustainment and innovation enterprise. Build and sustain senior relationships with Air Force acquisition leaders, program offices, and operational end users. Match Air Force mission needs to Tagup's platform, and translate them into pursuits with measurable operational impact. Shape opportunities through RFIs, RFPs, OTAs, SBIR/STTR transitions, demonstrations, and pilots, with a clear path from prototype to program of record. Run capture: competitive analysis, probability-of-win, teaming strategy, win themes, pricing inputs, and proposal reviews. Work with product, engineering, and program leadership to align customer needs with the roadmap and delivery approach. Represent Tagup at Air Force-focused conferences, working groups, and customer engagements, and keep pipeline forecasts and reporting current. What You Bring 10+ years in Air Force, defense acquisition, business development, capture, or program management. A working command of Air Force logistics, sustainment, maintenance, or readiness organizations and their mission priorities. Established relationships across Air Force program offices, major commands, or innovation organizations. Working knowledge of defense acquisition: FAR/DFARS, OTAs, SBIR/STTR, rapid prototyping, and transition pathways. The ability to connect a technical capability to a mission need, an acquisition strategy, and an operational outcome. Excellent writing and executive presence; you can brief a PEO and a squadron commander with equal command. Comfort in a fast-paced, ambiguous, growth-stage environment. Willingness to travel. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. BA/BS required; advanced degree a plus. Compensation and Benefits The estimated salary range for this position is $145,000 to $175,000 annually, set against experience and qualifications.
