Job Type Part-time Description Job Summary: Provides support and assistance to the Cedar Memorial Licensed Funeral Directors in bringing deceased individuals into the care of the funeral home. This position is a part-time on-call position from the hours of 5:00 PM to 7:30 AM two to three nights per week. Duties/Responsibilities: • On an as-needed (on-call) basis, accompanies the Licensed Funeral Director to the place of death (home, hospital, care facility, other locations). • Transports deceased body to the funeral home from hospitals, homes, or other locations. • Follows the direction of the Licensed Funeral Director to assist with the removal of the deceased respectfully, compassionately, and professionally. • At the request of the Funeral Director, may drive to the place of death, which could be a significant distance, in various weather conditions. • Provides exceptional customer service to families, medical staff, and Associates. • Follows company safety policies and procedures. • Maintains a safe driving record in accordance with Cedar Memorials' insurance policy. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Keen social awareness and integrity. • Excellent understanding of customer service. • Excellent skills working with a team. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Valid driver's license. Drive Thru Operator General Purpose: The drive thru operator is expected to sell to and service drive-thru guests and collect for each meal prior to serving it. The General Service Technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. Consistent use of all required safety standards set forth in training and policies and procedures. • Maintain technical knowledge and capabilities to ensure proficiency through the timely completion of all required Monro University training courses and modules. • Operate, utilize, and maintain all equipment in a safe manner in accordance with Monro and equipment manufacturer guidelines including but not limited to lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc. • Perform other duties as assigned and required.
