The Outpatient Coding Compliance Auditor performs audits of outpatient facility (OPPS) coding to ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10-CM diagnoses, CPT/HCPCS codes, modifiers, and facility E/M levels (ACEP or client-specific). This role reviews coding for alignment with medical record documentation and established guidelines, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and billing standards while effectively communicating findings to stakeholders. The Auditor also analyzes audit outcomes to identify trends, determine root causes, and pinpoint opportunities for improvement, as well as assess the effectiveness of corrective actions. Additionally, as part of the Compliance Workplan the Auditor participates in quality assurance (QA) coding oversight, conducts independent reviews, and supports organizational compliance initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: • Perform coding compliance and quality audits in support of Optum Insight Provider's Compliance Program and client expectations • Independently analyze and interpret clinical documentation from medical records • Validate coding accuracy for outpatient facility, including E/M services, procedures, and modifiers • Identify audit findings, calculate billing error rates, and perform root cause analysis to determine drivers of non-compliance • Assess and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of corrective action plans, providing follow-up validation as appropriate • Clearly document audit findings and articulate results tailored to the appropriate audience • Prepare written audit analysis and summary reports, including compliance risk, trends, and recommended corrective actions • Conduct ad hoc coding and billing audits as requested • Provide compliance oversight of QA audit activities, ensuring consistency and adherence to established standards • Audit vendor coders and auditors, including offshore staff • Monitor and track evolving industry trends, regulatory updates, and government audit activities to identify potential coding and billing risk areas • Stay current with applicable coding, billing, and regulatory guidelines • Research, develop, and present targeted education based on individual, team, and systemic audit findings You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) • 5+ years of Outpatient Facility coding experience including: • NCCI/OCE billing edits related to outpatient services coding and billing • ICD-10-CM and CPT (including CPT-4) • ACEP Facility or similar Facility E/M matrix guidelines for outpatient facility code assignment • 5+ years of Outpatient Facility audit experience, including surgery, observation, and emergency department, including: (Strong industry knowledge of Medicare regulations and payment policies, including OPPS) Preferred Qualifications: • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) a plus • Demonstrated ability to perform independent, autonomous audit and coding review functions • Strong professional communication skills, both oral and written • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments, spreadsheets, documents, and reports • Proven time management skills with consistent follow-through to completion • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000, plus annual bonus potential Travel: Up to 50% Location: Houston, TX, Tampa, FL, or Remote Position Responsibilities: • Develop and implement environmental waste strategies and policies throughout the organization. • Oversee internal/external hazardous waste management and solid waste management practices for waste streams through proper handling, storage, tracking, and disposal of all waste. • Work within the framework of the EHS Management System and Regulatory Requirements. • Accurate identification and classification of hazardous and non-hazardous materials • Monitors federal, state and municipal regulatory changes to ensure future compliance. Provide environmental expertise to internal teams and coordinate with stakeholders regarding relevant issues. • Preparation of waste for shipment and disposal, including creation of all documents and managing the lifecycle of the documentation and tracking. • Responsible for the safe handling of waste on our sites, including loading/unloading of waste; waste accruals, PO's, invoices, waste pricing with TSDF vendors. • Ensure the required inspections and audits are completed timely and accurately. • Conduct waste inspections, safety equipment inspections, and other required facility permit inspections as needed. • Accurate identification and classification of regulated materials • Participate in internal and external environmental audits. • Partner with operations, safety, and engineering personnel to ensure work practices and/or equipment changes are integrated, efficient, and effective. • Provide analysis and interpretations of environmental findings and prepare technical procedures and reports as required. • Work with site employees on maintaining environmental compliance by providing training, auditing, compliance evaluations, and facility maintenance. • In partnership with EHS Training Department, develop training and educational tools regarding environmental goals, compliance, and awareness. • Coordination with disposal facilities, and transportation agencies as applicable • Preparation and submission of any other documents required by federal, state, and local laws and regulations or disposal facilities • Coordination of review and approval procedures for all manifests • Participate in incident investigation process and assist with corrective action plan development and implementation • Responsible for identifying all required waste permits • Work and manage in a matrix organization with shared resources. • Responsible for complying with Federal, state, and local laws and regulations which are applicable Other Environmental Projects: • Engagement with regulators • Assist with a variety of environmental functions, including companywide permitting, Tier II chemical reporting, RCRA, wastewater, stormwater, air emissions, recycling, heel/product management, DOT. • Assist with environmental emergency response. • Conduct spill response management, including the assessment of the spills and cleanup efforts • Travel required/Direct engagement with facilities. • Travel to locations for Emergency response as needed. Qualifications: • Proficient technical writing to assist with Waste permit applications and Waste Management Plans • 7-10 years of experience in Waste • Plan and Permit writing required. • Specialized training in Hazardous Materials Transportation includes 49 CFR 172, Subpart H, and IATA DGR • Associated Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) registrations/credentials such as CHMM • 7-10 years of experience performing waste management activities associated with coordinating packaging, transport, and disposal • Bachelor's degree in environmental or chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field. SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE VICTIM ADVOCATE

Duties You will perform essential victim service, advocacy, and provide a non-clinical response that is trauma-informed, gender-responsive, culturally responsive, and recovery-oriented, and without prejudice to adult victims of sexual assault. You will conduct mandated initial risk screening; safety assessment and planning; and coordinate medical, legal, and civilian and military law enforcement resources to address immediate risk, safety, and supportive service needs. You will ensure victims of sexual assault receive information and support during administrative, medical, investigative and legal procedures to support victim self-determination and informed decision making. You will provide assistance to victims in securing medical treatment for physical and psychological injuries; safe shelter; protective orders; and any other services identified and requested by the victim. You will inform victims of the resources available to report instances of sexual assault related retaliation, reprisal, ostracism, maltreatment, sexual harassment, or to request a transfer.
