ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance • Assist in recruiting and hiring of high caliber employees with in-store needs • Assist in training and developing a successful sales team • Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices • Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction • Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company • Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations in Store Manager and Manager In Training's absence • Supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices in Store Manager and Manager In Training's absence • Effectively communicate all store needs to Store Manager and Manager In Training • Resolve customer issues effectively • Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers • Complete bank deposits • Understand the Journeys culture and demonstrate it to the team JOB REQUIREMENTS • Prior retail management experience preferred • 6–12 months retail sales experience • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills • Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment • Willingness to learn • Completion of all training programs leading up to Co-Manager position or equivalent training • Ability to work 45 hours per week • Ability to work night and weekend shifts • Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds • Stand for long periods of time • Must be at least 18 years of age* * Age requirements for full-time employment may vary based on state PAY AND BENEFITS Check out the following website for more information on all our awesome benefits: *The pay rate, commission, and bonus structure varies per job title, county, city, state or province. Head Cashier The Head Cashier is a key member of the store team responsible for delivering Best of the WEST customer service while leading the daily operations of the front-end. The Head Cashier helps maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store while supporting daily store operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: • Support the "Cavender's Culture" and support the company's Mission, Vision, and Values. • Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting every customer, engaging with them throughout their shopping experience, and thanking them for their business. • Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases, returns, exchanges, and other Point of Sale transactions. • Ensure merchandise accuracy by verifying items, checking for boot mis-mates, and following commission validation procedures. • Promote company programs, store promotions, and suggest complementary merchandise to enhance the customer experience. • Provide accurate and courteous responses to customer inquiries in person and over the phone regarding products, pricing, promotions, store locations, and inventory. • Train, coach, and support new and existing cashiers on Point of Sale procedures, cash handling, customer service expectations, and company policies. • Assist store leadership by monitoring front-end operations, answering cashier questions, and helping resolve customer concerns. • Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor by stocking merchandise, recovering displays, and completing housekeeping tasks, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. • Ensure merchandise is properly displayed, signed, stocked, and located according to company standards. • Remain attentive to store safety and security and promptly report concerns to store management. • Report to work on time and maintain a neat, professional appearance. • Understand and follow all company policies and procedures. • Assist with merchandising updates, price changes, special orders, and other assigned store tasks. • Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: • Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. • Ability to accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions. • Ability to train and coach associates while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment. • Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise throughout the work shift. • Ability to safely use store equipment, including handheld devices, step stools, and dollies, in accordance with company policies. • Certain equipment may only be operated by associates who meet applicable age requirements. • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business. • Ability to comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents, and apply them to daily tasks. • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Associate must be able to read and understand English. • Associate must be able to stay alert and productive during assigned work hours. General Purpose The Plant Controls Specialist maintains and troubleshoots production equipment from various suppliers. This position identifies and prioritizes controls / electrical opportunities to maximize operations performance within a facility. Position develops and maintains electrical and controls system documentation. Duties and Responsibilities • Provide the proper training in Controls and Electricity to the Maintenance Technicians for the purpose of minimizing the production down time. • Execute small and medium projects involving PLC 5, SLC 500, Controls Logix, Panel View Plus and Allen Bradley VFDs • Maintain industrial networks such as DeviceNet and Remote I/O. • Help the NABU Controls Engineering Group with the installation and maintenance of the SKU Controllers • Provide the proper training in Controls and Electricity to the Maintenance Technicians for the purpose of minimizing the production down time. • Identify and prioritize controls / electrical opportunities to maximize operations performance within a facility. • Plan and execute projects in a manner which minimizes downtime. • Develop and maintain electrical and controls system documentation. • Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment from various suppliers. • Quickly identify root causes of problems, as mechanical, controls or joint problems and coordinate resources necessary to address them. • Develop control software to achieve the balance between mechanical and controls changes to effectively handle all containers. • Maintain Allen Bradley hardware and software: PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, Networks and various electrical systems. • Be part of the team that supervises the electrical installation /integration of equipment and controls. • Follow the CCE Controls and Electrical Specifications. • Work with the CCE Controls Engineering Group for the following purposes: • Improve the designs / programs begun by others. • Implement and propose improvements to the CCE Controls and Electrical Specifications. • Suggest which controls projects to be handled by CCE Controls Engineering Group and which by the Plant Controls Specialist. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or minimum 8 years of work experience in industrial environments without college degree • Minimum 10 years of work experience in industrial environments without college degree. • Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and Networks (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Remote IO, Data Highway Plus, and Ethernet). Experience with various Human Machine Interfaces financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is a must. • Foundation Skills: Speaking/Presenting - Present complex technical problems in a simple way. Use exception reporting to keep the manager informed. • Collaborating: Work well in cooperation with others to achieve measurable results in time allocated or less. • Analytical thinking: Concentrate on analyzing essential facts and be very methodical in solving problems. • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.. • Thinking Creatively: Be able to develop creative solutions to challenging problems and be receptive to new ideas. • Prioritizing: Identify the most critical work that needs to be done.
