Fleet Maintenance TechnicianUnder the guidance of shop leadership, assist in conducting preventative maintenance and basic repairs on both Diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles to maintain GFL's fleet in safe and continuous "road ready" condition.Essential Functions:Under the guidance of shop leadership or senior mechanics, assist with the inspection of brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance including tire, oil and brake changes.Active participation in training classes and development opportunities to increase skills and working knowledge.Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are working properly.Under supervision, perform DOT, PM, brake and safety inspections on all vehicles. Perform PM and safety inspections.Complete work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily.Complete work as scheduled by shop supervision or higher-grade technicians.Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations.Maintain a clean work area.Basic knowledge of Hydraulic systems.Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:Entry-level knowledge/experience of at least 1+ years.Willingness to learn more complex diagnostic and repair process.Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other related state and federal regulations.Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization and communicate with customers and external vendors.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.Experience using diagnostic software is preferred. Must be computer literate and willing and able to be trained in software systems.Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, or the willingness and ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment.ASE certifications preferred.Physical/Mental Demands:Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance.Continuous concentrated mental and visual attention required.Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Ability to operate trucks and other equipment used as needed.Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation.Ability to climb ladders, bend or stand for long periods of time.Ability to reach above shoulders and lift to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.#GFLTalentWe thank you for your interest. Head Cashier The Head Cashier is a key member of the store team responsible for delivering Best of the WEST customer service while leading the daily operations of the front-end. They provide exceptional customer service, accurately process transactions, and serve as a resource for cashiers by assisting with training, answering questions, and reinforcing company standards. The Head Cashier helps maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store while supporting daily store operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: • Support the "Cavender's Culture" and support the company's Mission, Vision, and Values. • Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting every customer, engaging with them throughout their shopping experience, and thanking them for their business. • Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases, returns, exchanges, and other Point of Sale transactions. • Ensure merchandise accuracy by verifying items, checking for boot mis-mates, and following commission validation procedures. • Promote company programs, store promotions, and suggest complementary merchandise to enhance the customer experience. • Provide accurate and courteous responses to customer inquiries in person and over the phone regarding products, pricing, promotions, store locations, and inventory. • Train, coach, and support new and existing cashiers on Point of Sale procedures, cash handling, customer service expectations, and company policies. • Assist store leadership by monitoring front-end operations, answering cashier questions, and helping resolve customer concerns. • Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor by stocking merchandise, recovering displays, and completing housekeeping tasks, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. • Ensure merchandise is properly displayed, signed, stocked, and located according to company standards. • Remain attentive to store safety and security and promptly report concerns to store management. • Report to work on time and maintain a neat, professional appearance. • Understand and follow all company policies and procedures. • Assist with merchandising updates, price changes, special orders, and other assigned store tasks. • Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: • Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. • Ability to accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions. • Ability to train and coach associates while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment. • Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise throughout the work shift. • Ability to safely use store equipment, including handheld devices, step stools, and dollies, in accordance with company policies. • Certain equipment may only be operated by associates who meet applicable age requirements. • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business. • Ability to comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents, and apply them to daily tasks. • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Associate must be able to read and understand English. • Associate must be able to stay alert and productive during assigned work hours.
