Court Reporter Under general supervision, performs a variety of court reporting duties on behalf of the Lewis County Superior Court; records various types of court proceedings; prepares court transcripts; and performs other related duties as assigned. The following duties are the fundamental, crucial job duties performed by this position. This is not a comprehensive list of all tasks that may be assigned. Incumbent may be required to perform other duties as assigned and appropriate for the position. • Produces verbatim records of civil, criminal, and/or juvenile court proceedings. • Maintains compliance with regulations and standards governing court reporting. • Prepares and researches court transcripts. • Provides transcripts as requested by litigants, attorneys, judges, and other interested parties. • Performs record keeping and/or other duties as assigned by the Judge or Court Administrator. • Provides Realtime reporting to the Judge by providing an unedited, electronic version of the verbatim records as it is being taken during the court proceedings. Work is performed in and around courtroom facilities; subject to sitting for extended periods of time, bending, reaching, and light lifting of objects up to 10 pounds. Completion of a State accredited court reporting school. Washington State CCR License and a Notary Public License are required. Two (2) year's court reporting experience is preferred. Knowledge of court processes and procedures, principles and practices of court reporting, regulations and standards governing court reporting, equipment and computer software relative to court reporting. Skills in coordinating and performing a variety of highly skilled court reporting functions, accurately recording various types of court proceedings, preparing and researching court transcripts, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with court personnel and the general public, communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Adult Protective Services Field Administrator / Wms2 This role calls for a collaborative, steady, and people-centered leader who supports Adult Protective Services (APS) teams across Region 3. As a Field Services Administrator, you guide daily operations, help staff navigate complexsituations, and strengthen partnerships that protect the health and safety of vulnerable adults. You work closely with Tribes, community partners, state agencies, and internal teams to align regional practices with statewide goals and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. Home andCommunity Living Administration (HCLA) is hiring three APS Field Administrators. One person will oversee two APS offices serving Aberdeen, Bremerton and Port Angeles. Another overseeing the Tumwater and Chehalis offices, with the third supervising the Kelso and Vancouver offices and adjoining counties. These are field roles. Occasional travel to other Region 3 offices and APS headquarters in Lacey can be expected. Some of what you will do • Lead regional field operations, including investigations, customer support, administrative functions, and staffing. • Support supervisors and staff through coaching, clear expectations, and consistent follow-up. • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff while fostering a supportive environment for growth. • Guide regional quality assurance and improvement efforts, partnering with quality assurance staff to identify root causes and strengthen practices. • Build collaborative relationships with Tribes, community partners, law enforcement, courts, and other state agencies. • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve investigative quality and outcomes for vulnerable adults. • Provide consultation to APS leadership, Area Agencies on Aging, DSHS divisions, community partners, and legal entities. • Prepare incident reports and media alerts in alignment with policy. • Draft, implement, and monitor regional operating procedures. • Participate in hearings and provide testimony when needed. • Conduct employee fact-finding and program investigations at the direction of the appointing authority. • Represent APS at regional and statewide meetings, workgroups, trainings, and committees. Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities: • Learn and apply APS policies, WAC, RCW, and complex systems. • Federal laws related to Washington's Tribal Nations. • Policy development, program planning, and evaluation experience. • Familiarity with HCLA and APS programs. • Understanding of personnel policies and collective bargaining agreements. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; AND one (1) year experience working with youth in an organizational capacity. Successful completion of the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission's Juvenile Correction Officer Academy, First Aid/CPR Certification, and a valid Driver's License are required. Must successfully complete a criminal history background investigation.
