Defense Litigation Paralegal An established defense litigation firm is seeking an experienced full-time Defense Litigation Paralegal or Nurse Paralegal with strong insurance defense experience. Experience supporting medical malpractice defense matters is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, work independently, and effectively support attorneys throughout the litigation process. Responsibilities & Duties • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and discovery responses • Communicate professionally with clients and assist with case-related inquiries • Review medical records and prepare detailed medical chronologies • Prepare non-party record subpoenas in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations • E-file documents in state and federal courts • Identify, coordinate, and work with expert witnesses • Assist with preparation for witness interviews, depositions, mediations, and trials • Maintain organized case files and litigation documentation • Accurately and timely record billable time in accordance with client-specific billing guidelines • Provide comprehensive litigation support from case initiation through resolution Qualifications • Prior experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably within insurance defense • Medical malpractice defense experience is strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure • Familiarity with Florida medical malpractice statutes and related litigation procedures • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and litigation teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat or comparable PDF software • Demonstrated ability to accurately track and report billable time according to established guidelines Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and highly organized litigation professional who can take ownership of assigned matters, manage competing priorities, and provide reliable support to attorneys handling complex defense litigation.

What you will do: Responsible for end to end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects. Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, examining, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer's location. Coordinates with team leader/project manager and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work. Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad). Leadership skills, technical versatility, and the ability to manage complex, multi-platform environments independently. Strong command of HVAC, lighting, and energy management controls. Proficiency in industry protocols including Modbus, BACnet, and Niagara, with the ability to integrate and interface systems using appropriate methods. Proficiency in BAS integration, diagnosing and resolving complex control system issues across diverse environments. Proficiency in editing control logic, optimizing sequences of operations and generating detailed system reports to support diagnostics and performance analysis. Strong customer-facing communication skills and can effectively explain complex technical issues and system behavior to customers. Proficiency in providing field-level support to Trane System engineers, offering expert guidance on application challenges, system performance issues, and control sequence design.
