Associate Attorney Our client, a leading full-service Des Moines law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-6 years of civil and/or commercial litigation experience to join its growing litigation practice. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who wants more than just a narrow litigation niche. Attorneys in this role gain meaningful hands-on experience from day one, including motion practice, depositions, hearings, and courtroom exposure, while building a broad-based litigation practice with a clear path for long-term growth. Responsibilities • Manage and support a variety of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances • Maintain direct communication with clients and opposing counsel • Assist with trial preparation and trial-related activities • Handle insurance defense and eviction-related matters while gaining exposure to broader commercial and civil litigation cases • Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on complex legal disputes
