Our Tutors As a Federal Work-Study Math Tutor with Saga Education, you'll earn income while making a real difference. Tutors from diverse backgrounds support students' academic growth in schools nationwide. You'll gain valuable experience and have a meaningful impact—all while staying focused on your own education. The Process • Interested applicants apply and interview with Saga Education. • Applicants who successfully pass the interview stage are invited to take a short math assessment. • Selected Tutors become a part of our Federal Work-Study Program, where they will work with school districts to support student growth and success. • Saga matches their availability with school district needs as they arise. What You'll Do Federal Work Study Math Tutors manage a small caseload of students and promote academic success by focusing intently on providing high-dosage, high-impact tutoring that includes individualized instruction during the school day. During a typical school day, tutors will work remotely with students during multiple class periods and facilitate lessons using Saga Connect and/or platforms provided by the district. Federal Work Study Math Tutors will implement math curriculum to foster academic success and help students reach their goals. In addition to offering academic support, tutors will act as advocates and mentors, building strong, meaningful relationships with their students. Some of the key responsibilities for this role include: • Provide math tutoring to your assigned caseload of students for multiple class periods, utilizing Saga Connect and/or platforms utilized by the school district • Prepare for tutoring sessions using Saga Curriculum and/or curriculum resources provided by the school/district • Navigate varying technology, both hardware and software, and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise • Proactively check and respond to emails to meet necessary deliverables on time Qualifications • You must be a student at CUNY • You must be eligible for the Federal Work-study program • You are age 18 or over with a high school diploma, GED, or above • You must clear Background Screening and all other security requirements set forth by Saga Education and the school district before the start of training; district dependent • Demonstrated time management and self-starter abilities • Access to your own personal and reliable high-speed internet to effectively engage in video conferencing, required • Access to your own computer technology with audio and visual capability, required • Access to a quiet workspace to effectively engage in tutoring, required • On-camera presence is requiredduring tutoring sessions and other activities necessary to fulfill the essential functions of this position

Inspect inventory for damage. Process and stock inventory. • Pick correct product and quantities for orders. Load racks and trucks with glass. • Clean glass, assessing stock for damage. Affix proper labels to glass. • Timely follow delivery route and time schedules to deliver product and receive returns. Process/record payments and input data into ordering system. • Safely operate the delivery vehicle. • Receive and process return stock. • Complete logs and documentation. • Break down boxes, stock accessories, organize inventory as directed. • Interact and assist customers during delivery and at will call. • Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, etc. • Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards. This position is considered safety sensitive. • Perform other job tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • Pass an MVR check • Safely and competently operate fork lifts, reach trucks, pickers • Have 3-5 years of driving and delivery experience • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities • Be organized, detail orientated, accurate, and adaptable to warehouse environments • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team, and or take direction in an ever-changing working condition EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent • Valid driver's license PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal/mobile device; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, and making fine discriminations in sound; Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have finger grip strength to properly handle glass. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, maneuver in tight spaces, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during 8-10-hour work shift. Qualifications: • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the travel industry or in a 24-hour travel emergency department. • Airfare & Ticketing Knowledge: Strong understanding of airfares, contracted fares, ticket exchanges, and hotel reservations. • GDS Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS), with a preference for Galileo proficiency. • Client Experience: Experience managing VIP clients, entertainment clients, and/or group travel. • Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized and able to multitask effectively, especially under pressure. • Independence: Ability to work autonomously and make decisions with minimal supervision. • Flexibility: Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
