CNA / Special Education ParaeducatorPurpose: To improve the quality of the educational program offered to exceptional children with medical needsJob Requirements:Evidence of good mental and physical healthCorrect articulation and language useMust assist with diapering and toiletingAssist with feeding, feeding tubes, and personal care according to supervisorAble to work in crowded, noisy environmentsMust implement directions from the professionalLifting is requiredAble to accept supervision from the supervising teacherQualifications:Must be high school graduate or have GED, CNA certification preferredAssist teachers and specialists in collection and preparation of instructional materials and equipmentWork with individual students with medical needsWork with communication devicesAssist with classroom housekeeping choresPrepare instructional aids, games, and bulletin boards at the discretion of the supervisorPerform various clerical duties within the classroom. This may include data entry on computerSupervise students on buses and/or at dismissal and/or on field tripsAssist in carrying out programs set up by support personnel (OT, PT, speech and Vocational)Maintain good public relations with parents, supervisor and co-workersAny and other all duties as assigned by the supervisor(s.)Selection Procedure: We will contact you if we are interested in setting up an interview.
