This position is responsible for assisting on compliance projects for major clients by providing Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification of goods. The role requires professional communication with team members, clients, suppliers and government representatives. What we can offer you: • Competitive salary, benefits package, and matching retirement plan • A friendly, collaborative work environment • Opportunities for professional development & ongoing learning • A chance to be part of a growing organization You will be responsible for: • Identify solicitation and classification workload needed for qualification. • Assist or Lead Trade Program projects, audits and verification programs and complete FTA determinations and reviews. • Review, maintains, and reinforce database integrity by utilizing various client and provided software to organize and manage workload. • Create reports and assist with drafting compliance processes and related work instructions. • Manage escalated client matters, supports brokers and clients with FTA documentation. • Liaison with significant business partners on Customs compliance issues providing effective and diplomatic internal and external customer service. • Above average written and verbal communication skills. • Showcase your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook. • Identify potential challenges/risks and solve problems efficiently or work with Leaders for a solution. • Foster a fast-paced culture leading by example in terms of accountability and continuous improvement within the team. • Effectively prioritize and manage the team multiple and personal tasks to meet KPI's and deadlines. • To provide the highest level of customer service by leading and mentoring, fostering a positive and productive work environment and resolving escalated issues as needed. What we need from you: • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Transportation/ International Business, or related discipline. • US Customs broker's license and/or CCS designation preferred but not required. • Minimum 10 years of qualification experience with expert knowledge of FTA Rules of Origin and RVC calculations. • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access (preferred). • Professional and mature demeanour. • Good research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and organization skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times. • Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MEX. Also, ensure that all vital reporting is received and distributed on time, including reporting any exception information. • Attend required team meetings and training sessions on camera. • Participation in skills assessments for training is required. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience: • High School diploma or equivalent experience. • Able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
