The Fire Extinguisher Technician is responsible for performing scheduled or unscheduled maintenance on fire extinguishers in both residential and commercial spaces. **Responsibilities** Performance of daily, weekly, monthly and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on various sized fire extinguishers + Repair, replace, fill and tag all fire extinguishers + Service and test + Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports + Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner + Assist the scheduling and completion of assigned duties + Ability to work independently and use provided personal protective equipment **Required Experience & Job Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent + Two years of experience in the fire protection industry + Possess Texas State Fire Marshal license in fire extinguisher and pre-engineered systems (including FEL-B, FEL-K or FEL-A) + Possess an understanding of NFPA and building and fire codes is a plus + Able to communicate effectively; both verbally and written + Possess a valid driver's license + Professional appearance Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. The Dispatcher is a crucial role and will be part of a team of 5 Dispatchers with the goal of maximizing scheduling so that we are continuously exceeding customer demands and satisfaction. Must be able to utilize creative thinking, strategic planning skills and teamwork to ensure all customers receive superior service. The ideal candidate will be able to enthusiastically rise to a challenge and coordinate a complex schedule that is very dynamic and always subject to conflict and change.
