Mercy. One Des Moines Ambulance Service. Full-Time (72 hours bi-weekly)Mixed Rotating 12 hours shifts. The Dispatchers primary focus is to be the communication link between Mercy One, Pediatric Transport, Neonatal Intensive Care Transport, Mercy Ambulances, and all pre-hospital agencies, hospitals and law enforcement agencies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Receives all incoming requests for Mercy One, Pediatric Transport, and Neonatal transports. The dispatcher will coordinate responses by obtaining patient information and activating the appropriate. Coordinates alternate transportation when a transport team is unable to provide service. Communicates patient information to the transport teams, in addition obtains and relays navigation and landing information to the pilot. Coordinates landing zone with law enforcement as requested. Essential Functions Tailor Shop Production & Operations • Efficiently perform standard alterations - including but not limited to pant hems, waist and seat adjustments, rise and tapering modifications, coat sleeves, side seams, and lower collar adjustments - in alignment with company guidelines. • Maintain an average of 60 minutes of productive alteration work per working hour, allowing for appropriate rest and meal periods and time for non-tailoring tasks as needed. • Ensure all garments meet high-quality standards, including clean finishes, secure stitching, even seams, and the removal of loose threads and pins. • Press garments to ensure a clean crisp finish. • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace; ensure all tools and materials are properly stored and well-maintained. • Demonstrate proficiency with all tailor shop equipment. • Ensure completed work is accurately tagged, organized, and ready for customer pickup. • Assist with inventory management by monitoring tailoring supplies and requesting replenishment from management as needed. Customer Service • Support front-of-house activities as needed, such as cleaning, restocking merchandise, or assisting customers. • Participate in customer consultations at the direction of management, offering guidance and recommendations on alterations and garment fit. • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by listening to customer needs and offering personalized solutions. • Adapt to changing workload priorities and scheduling needs as directed by management.
