About the Department and/or College The Center for Pulsed Power and Power Electronics is a nationally recognized research facility with expertise in pulsed power and high voltage technologies. The research center hosts more than 60 undergraduate and graduate student researchers, 7 full time staff, and 7 faculty. Major/Essential Functions • Contribute to the development, fabrication, and operation of experimental systems to meet the research needs of the Center for Pulsed Power and Power Electronics. • Lead data collection and documentation efforts and support the Center for Pulsed Power and Power Electronics in reporting to external sponsors. • Coordinate with a broad range of research stakeholders, including undergraduate and graduate students, technicians, machinists, and research staff, and faculty, as well as external research partners. • Support day-to-day facility operations in the Center for Pulsed Power and Power Electronics TTU offers a great benefits package. More information can be found on our Benefits Page. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years experience; or a combination of education and/or related experience to equal six years. Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance from the Department of Defense. This position is designated as involving access to critical infrastructure systems and/or research, as defined by Texas Executive Order GA-48. As such, candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
