Defense Litigation Paralegal An established defense litigation firm is seeking an experienced full-time Defense Litigation Paralegal or Nurse Paralegal with strong insurance defense experience. Experience supporting medical malpractice defense matters is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, work independently, and effectively support attorneys throughout the litigation process. Responsibilities & Duties • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and discovery responses • Communicate professionally with clients and assist with case-related inquiries • Review medical records and prepare detailed medical chronologies • Prepare non-party record subpoenas in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations • E-file documents in state and federal courts • Identify, coordinate, and work with expert witnesses • Assist with preparation for witness interviews, depositions, mediations, and trials • Maintain organized case files and litigation documentation • Accurately and timely record billable time in accordance with client-specific billing guidelines • Provide comprehensive litigation support from case initiation through resolution Qualifications • Prior experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably within insurance defense • Medical malpractice defense experience is strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure • Familiarity with Florida medical malpractice statutes and related litigation procedures • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and litigation teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat or comparable PDF software • Demonstrated ability to accurately track and report billable time according to established guidelines Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and highly organized litigation professional who can take ownership of assigned matters, manage competing priorities, and provide reliable support to attorneys handling complex defense litigation.

Chaplain The Chaplain is a member of the interdisciplinary team and focuses on the spiritual needs of patients, families, caregivers and staff, including volunteers. The chaplain provides pastoral care interventions, including pastoral counseling, which are determined by spiritual assessment, the specific setting and sensitivity to a variety of values, beliefs and religious orientations. The chaplain seeks excellence in pastoral care, which requires authentic demeanor, compassion and skill in dealing with the spiritual dynamics of illness, loss and death. Qualifications • Qualified candidates must have ordination or commission to function in a ministry of pastoral care and has received the endorsement of and is in good standing with his/her body of faith. • Five years of pastoral experience preferred - two in a clinical setting. • A minimum of 1 unit (400 hours), preferably two (2) or more, of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited by one of the following: Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, National Association of Catholic Chaplains or the Canadian Association for Pastoral Practice and Education. • Equivalencies to CPE may include one of the following: Evidence of clinical pastoral educational experience that includes supervision of ministry, peer group participation and theological reflection; AAMFT, AAPC, or AMHC certification; or DMin or other accredited graduate degree in pastoral care. • Knowledge and skill in dealing with spiritual dynamics of illness, loss and death. • Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team. • Commitment to professional growth and development. Education • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution. • Master's of Divinity or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited (ATS) seminary or theological school required.
