Litigation Paralegal JRG Partners – Lake Mary, FL Our client a leading law firm is seeking a litigation paralegal to join a growing team. Enhances attorney effectiveness by developing case information, evidence, and settlement options; tracking cases; supporting attorney's trial proceedings. Job duties: • Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney. • Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; preparing and forwarding summonses and subpoenas; drafting complaints; preparing and filing discovery requests; preparing responses to opposing counsel; generating status reports. • Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress. • Maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorneys, clients, and providers. • Supports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences; preparing pleadings; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses; organizing materials for a team case review. • Enhances trial proceedings by organizing evidence; preparing exhibits; scheduling witnesses; ensuring that witnesses are ready when needed; taking courtroom notes. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. What you will do We are seeking a motivated and talented Associate or Counsel to join our Product Liability Practice Group in our Orlando (Lake Mary), FL, office. This position offers a dynamic opportunity for attorneys with hands-on experience in litigation to grow their careers in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You'll be a vital member of our team, with hands-on responsibility for day-to-day case development—including handling depositions, engaging directly with clients, collaborating with technical experts, managing critical discovery tasks, and drafting and arguing motions. You'll also play a key role in supporting partners on strategic litigation planning, all the way through trial preparation and execution. We're looking for a self-starter with 5+ years of litigation experience, who is eager to develop expertise across a broad range of matters.
