Administrative Assistant The Administrative Assistant will deliver effective administrative and clerical support to Green Country Habitat for Humanity Staff. This position requires the ability to work with a diverse population and must be able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and promote outstanding customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Welcomes guests and greets customers in person or on the telephone, and answers/directs inquiries to the appropriate staff. • Manages multi-line phone system, knowledgeably answers basic questions and takes/distributes phone messages. • Performs clerical duties to include but not limited to: copying, faxing, and scanning. • Retrieves and distributes incoming and outgoing mail. • Keeps the receptionist and mailroom areas clean. • Ensures the operation of office equipment such as the copier/fax and mail machine by troubleshooting malfunctions and calling in preventive maintenance requirements and repairs. • Maintains database of donor information and volunteers and completes donation acknowledgement letters. • Manages and attends Board related functions to include preparing reports, setting up meetings, making room arrangements and ensuring availability of adequate equipment use. • Monitors office supplies and purchases/orders additional supplies in a timely manner as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Skills / Abilities: • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to organize work using MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. • High level of attention to detail. • Exceptional interpersonal skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality. Education / Experience: • High School Diploma or GED. • 4 years of general office and/or administrative support experience (preferred).
