Mental Health Technician Nurse Secretary The Mental Health Technician Nurse Secretary helps provide therapeutic services to psychiatric patients under Trauma Informed Care principles in accordance with the Registered Nurse's directions and the established treatment plan. Working under general supervision for routine situations, this role serves psychiatric patients across the life span through various treatment programs, such as educational groups and 1:1 interaction. Essential Job Function: • Observes and reports changes in patient symptoms and behaviors to the Registered Nurse in order to make necessary changes to the care plan. • Helps communicate effectively and graciously with patients and families to keep them involved in the care process, including through the facilitation of patient educational groups. • Performs safety checks and environmental rounds, documenting procedures and updating the Registered Nurse with progress. • Checks supply stocks in order to meet patient and nursing needs and budgetary constraints in line with the department goals. • Supports the provision of patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse, including measuring vital signs and capillary blood glucose, preparing EKGs, transporting patients, and assisting with ambulation elimination needs. • Responds to verbal and nonverbal communication from psychiatric patients in order to communicate empathetically and meet needs. • Performs other duties as assigned. Education: • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. • Preferred: Successful completion of Nursing Assistant Certificate and/or Associate's degree in human service field preferred. Experience: • Preferred: A minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health field or health care field. Licensure/Certification/Listing: • Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider; STARR (verbal and physical de-escalation) to be successfully completed within the first 30 days of hire date. • Preferred: Listed as a Nursing Aide I with the North Carolina Division of Facilities Services; Certification through American Association of Psychiatric Technician NCPT Certification Level I-II.

Patient Access ED Registration Specialist The Patient Access ED Registration Specialist is the first point of contact and creates a welcoming environment to include anticipation and action on the needs of our internal and external customers in the emergency department care setting. The role is responsible for accurately identifying patients and completing demographic, financial, regulatory and medical information. The schedule for this position is every Saturday and Sunday, 3:00PM - 11:00PM. Essential Job Function: • Utilizes tools and resources to perform responsibilities accurately and efficiently to obtain and enter required information for registration into the electronic health system. • Follows prescribed procedures for positive identification and medical record number assignment and reviews demographic and insurance information for completeness, and follows through with correcting any deficiencies, so collection efforts are not delayed due to insufficient or incorrect information. • Ensures EMTALA compliant registration steps are taken for emergency department patients. • Identifies patients who present with critical symptoms and activates clinical protocols. • Ensures all appropriate regulatory signatures are obtained. • Thoroughly and accurately documents insurance verification information, identifying deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and policy limitations and verifies patient liabilities with payers, calculates patient payment, requests payment at the time of registration and documents in the EHR. • Consistently displays good customer service behaviors to all patients and visitors to promote positive patient experiences. • Assists patients to their destination as needed and manages patient visitor flow according to hospital policy and safety guidelines. • Performs other duties as assigned. Education: • Required: Associate degree in healthcare administration, medical office administration, or related field required. Four years related experience in lieu of associate's degree. Experience: • Required: One year experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient registration, insurance verification, or a similar administrative role. Cemetery Maintenance Apprentice/Worker/Technician

Cemetery Grounds Maintenance Worker Performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance, beautification, and upkeep of municipal cemeteries and other City-owned grounds. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, landscaping, grave-site preparation support, monument-area maintenance, and general groundskeeping. Employees also assist with the maintenance of athletic fields, parks, and other public facilities as assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Cemetery Supervisor or Grounds Maintenance Supervisor. The following duties are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or logically assigned. • Mows, trims, edges, and maintains cemetery grounds using commercial mowing equipment, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, and related equipment. • Plants, waters, fertilizes, prunes, and maintains trees, shrubs, flowers, and landscaped areas. • Removes leaves, limbs, litter, and other debris from cemetery grounds and roadways. • Assists with the placement and removal of floral arrangements, wreaths, and seasonal decorations in accordance with cemetery policies. • Maintains cemetery roads, walkways, fences, signs, drainage areas, and related infrastructure. • Assists with locating grave sites and preparing cemetery areas for scheduled interments. • Assists funeral directors and City staff with funeral services by ensuring cemetery grounds are clean, safe, and properly prepared. • Does not perform grave excavation or grave closing operations. • Performs routine inspections of cemetery grounds to identify maintenance or safety concerns. • Operates pickup trucks, utility vehicles, tractors, mowers, and other grounds maintenance equipment. • Performs minor maintenance and daily inspections on assigned equipment. • Assists with snow removal, storm cleanup, and emergency response activities as needed. • Assists Parks Maintenance staff with mowing, lining, dragging, fertilizing, irrigating, and maintaining athletic fields. • Assists with maintenance of parks, greenways, landscaped medians, and other municipal properties. • Installs and repairs fencing, benches, signs, and other park or cemetery amenities. • Maintains accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and assigned work. • Interacts professionally and compassionately with cemetery visitors, funeral personnel, and the public. • Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of grounds maintenance practices and landscaping techniques. Knowledge of safe operation of commercial landscaping equipment. Knowledge of basic horticultural practices. Ability to operate tractors, zero-turn mowers, utility vehicles, and hand tools safely. Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and the public. Education and Experience Required: High school diploma or GED. Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, cemetery maintenance, parks maintenance, agriculture, construction, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment. Experience maintaining athletic fields. Experience operating tractors or similar heavy equipment. Special Requirements: Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver's License. Ability to obtain and maintain any required equipment certifications. Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergency call-outs when required. Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background investigation, and, if required, physical examination.
