The Work Lockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software Engineer for Security & Platform Services. In this role, you will: • Support multiple Mission Integrated Command & Control (MIC2) Line of Business (LOB) programs • Perform software development tasks (design, code, test, integration) for a full spectrum of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and/or Cyber solutions • Develop new applications and integrate COTS and GOTS software to construct a complete solution • Travel between LM sites as well as customer sites Who We Are Lockheed Martin is a global aerospace, defense, and security company dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and harnessing innovation to make the world a safer place. Learn more about Lockheed Martin's comprehensive benefits package here! rmshotmiljobs Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences or equivalent • Minimum of 2 years experience and demonstrated superior performance in software development life cycle tasks • Applied knowledge of high-order computer programming languages and technologies, including but not limited to Java and/or C++ • Experience in software design • Experience developing and deploying software systems on Linux platforms • Experience with modification of existing software to adapt and integrate it with other components in a larger system • Experience with system and/or software testing • Experience troubleshooting software system anomalies • Ability to flex schedule to support off-hour test events, as necessary • Ability to support occasional travel • Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the Secret level - U.S. Citizenship required Desired Skills: Any of the following skills are desired : • Familiarity with the Agile development framework and tools, such as JIRA • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and platforms, such as GitLab • Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and automated test framework technologies, such as Jenkins, Maven, Ansible and/or Robot • Familiarity with configuration management and repository tools such as Git, Bitbucket and/or Artifactory • Familiarity with automated deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications and associated technologies, such as Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, and/or Podman • Familiarity with the development and deployment of cybersecurity capabilities, as well as system hardening • Familiarity with SysML/UML design Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $172,488 .
