About the Role • Merkle Retirement Planning is looking for a Marketing Intern to support our Marketing Team across digital content, campaigns, email marketing, analytics, creative projects, and day-to-day marketing operations. • This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is interested in building practical marketing experience across multiple channels. You'll help keep marketing initiatives organized, accurate, on-brand, and moving forward while gaining exposure to both the creative and analytical sides of marketing. • This internship will run from October 2026 to May 2027. • Interns must be available to work in-office 15-20 hours per week during the school year and during normal business hours, with flexibility for occasional Merkle Retirement Planning-sponsored client events outside of normal business hours. Qualifications We're looking for someone who brings: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • A strong interest in marketing and graphic design • Creativity and strong visual communication abilities • Keen attention to detail • Strong time-management and organizational skills • The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment • A collaborative mindset and positive attitude • Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn Responsibilities • Social Media & Content Publishing: Schedule and publish approved social content, maintain the social media calendar, assist with YouTube publishing, and review live content for accuracy. • Campaign & Marketing Analytics: Gather and organize campaign results, pull metrics across digital channels, track performance against goals, identify basic trends, and help maintain accurate links, UTMs, and reporting. • Email Marketing: Build and format emails using approved templates and brand standards, add campaign elements, proof emails, and assist with scheduling. • Design & Creative Support: Complete simple design projects, resize and adapt existing graphics, and make basic updates to approved marketing materials. • Marketing Operations & Team Support: Help maintain budget and expense tracking, organize marketing files and assets, assist with event and workshop materials, and support special projects.
