Introduction Our client is a veterinary hospital providing care for cats and dogs and seeking a full-time Lead Veterinarian. The hospital is part of a veterinary group that is transforming the veterinary care experience from the ground up, creating a culture where professionals can thrive, grow, and practice their best medicine. Role Description and Responsibilities The Lead Veterinarian will provide a full scope of general practice care while also taking on leadership responsibilities within the hospital. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable combining clinical practice with leadership. The schedule is four days per week with rotating Saturdays, prioritizing work-life balance, collaboration, and professional development because caring for pets starts with caring for veterinary teams. Practice Details This brand-new hospital is aiming to open in January 2027 and will operate from 8am-6pm Monday through Saturday. The hospital will be well equipped with digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory capabilities and more. Services will cover the full scope of general practice, including wellness, preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery and dentistry. Team The hospital is looking to establish a team of at least one Lead Veterinarian and one Associate Veterinarian ahead of its planned opening in January 2027. The aim is to maintain a high doctor-to-technician ratio, allowing veterinarians to focus on practicing medicine while being fully supported by experienced, skilled team members. The Network Administrator III is responsible for leading and managing network projects by recommending solutions to network strategy and security issues, as well as providing network-engineering solutions/options for the organizatio Responsibilities • Lead and manage network projects, recommending solutions for network strategy and security issues • Develop detailed network specifications and support new project scope work • Maximize network equipment functionality including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls • Perform risk assessments on existing or new systems and recommend security improvements • Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services • Conduct network analysis, capacity planning, and testing for LAN/WAN environments • Stay current on security threats, standards, and products; create and update cybersecurity procedures and documentation • Assist with design, installation, and testing of network topologies for Internet and data transport channels • Support installation and maintenance of PC/Server hardware and software • Design and manage wireless networking solutions, monitor network health and security infrastructure • Troubleshoot Windows and Linux IP-based LANs/WANs and IP routing/bridging solutions • Understand multi-ISP/WAN load-balancing, including SD-WAN technologies • Perform routine/emergency maintenance of data center equipment • Monitor network security to detect and prevent intrusions, work with vendors to investigate breaches • Analyze LAN/WAN changes, reconfigurations, and perform penetration testing/security audits • Maintain network performance monitoring and security log analysis • Support remote access technologies such as VPN, ZeroTrust, and cloud-based solutions • Conduct response drills and improve incident response processes • Troubleshoot VoIP issues including latency and jitter • Respond to security system and physical security emergencies, including after-hours support • Continually research emerging security threats and technologies Requirements • Undergraduate degree in a related field or 7+ years of experience/training in network administration • Proven experience in cybersecurity product support, network performance tuning, LAN design, and Cisco routers and switches • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Manage Engine, Zabbix, etc. • Experience with Meraki and Sophos Cloud Management is a plus • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware and software • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, proficiency in Excel and Word • Organizational skills; occasional travel required • Windows and Linux knowledge helpful, with experience in VMWare ESXi Hypervisor System One, and its subsidiaries including Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
