Construction Project Engineer

Job Title: Construction Project Engineer Darland Construction Co. is looking for a highly motivated Construction Project Engineer (PE) whose role will be to support the project management team to ensure a successful construction project. Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Construction Management/ Construction Engineering or a Construction Management Certificate from an accredited university • Applicable internships and field experience preferred • Candidates must have working knowledge of MS Office 365, CPM scheduling, and construction • management software (preferably Procore). Additional training will be provided. Responsibilities • Maintain, update and distribute construction documents (RFIs, ASIs, PRs, etc.) • Help maintain organized and safe worksites • Review, expedite and track submittals • Attend job site meetings and maintain meeting minutes • Assist in preparing bid packages, issuance of contract documents and invoice approval • Assist in producing and updating project schedules • Assist in resolving design issues • Schedule and document client training for new systems and equipment • Manage project closeout process, including owner training and archiving project records • Field and manage warranty requests The ideal candidate: • Is a self-starter with a natural ability to solve problems and create solutions before they become problems • Can organize, plan and manage multiple activities as well as make decisions under tight deadlines • Exhibits commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes to meet/exceed expectations • Acts in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company and its values, our clients and our industry partners Company Description Darland Construction Co. was established in 1953 and has grown into a respected full-service construction firm providing services on both a regional and national scale.
