Role: IT Deployment/ Epic Go-Live Support Technician Contract: 3 Months Project Employment Type: Contract Location: Omaha, NE (Travel within Nebraska location with car) Job Summary Provide hands-on L1 technical and field support for the upgrade and deployment of thin-client devices across healthcare facilities in Nebraska and Iowa. Key Job Skills & Responsibilities • Working knowledge of LAN connectivity, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and basic network troubleshooting for endpoint and thin-client environments. • Configure thin clients using WMS (Wyse Management Suite) • Perform hands-on thin-client deployment and upgrade activities and rename thin clients and apply updated device-name labels. • Upgrade existing thin clients to the target OS 10.x environment. • Configure devices to connect to Windows 11 Persistent VDI. • Troubleshoot devices that fail automated OS upgrades and perform required manual intervention. • Replace thick clients with new thin-client devices. • Connect and validate monitors, keyboards, mice, cables, adapters, and other peripherals. • Perform cable management according to deployment standards. • Coordinate with the Epic ECSA team for appropriate printer assignments. • Install required applications on replacement devices when necessary. • Document old-to-new device replacements. • Update device and deployment information in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM). • Perform site scouting and validate devices against provided inventory lists. • Identify requirements for special cables, adapters, mounts, and accessories. • Document devices that cannot be upgraded or replaced and escalate exceptions. Technical Requirements • Experience supporting Windows endpoints and desktops • Thin-client deployment or support experience • Windows 10/Windows 11 knowledge • VDI environment knowledge • Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting • Basic network/connectivity troubleshooting • Device deployment, upgrade, and configuration experience • ServiceNow/HAM or similar asset-management experience • Ability to follow technical SOPs and deployment procedures • Strong documentation and customer-service skills
