Company Description MYCO Mechanical, Inc. is a growing mechanical contractor that applies a hands-on philosophy in the field and in the office to deliver high-quality work. Each project is staffed with skilled managers, technicians, and administrative professionals, ensuring close attention and strong project outcomes. Role Description The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for HVAC and related mechanical projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, analyzing labor and material costs, and developing detailed proposals. The role collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and field supervisors to clarify scope, identify value-engineering options, and ensure estimates align with project requirements and company standards. The HVAC Estimator also assists with budgeting, bid reviews, vendor and subcontractor pricing, and supports project handoff to operations. This is a remote role that may require occasional travel to our head office a few times a year. Qualifications • Mechanical trade expertise, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping knowledge relevant to commercial and industrial projects. • Project management and budgeting skills, with the ability to organize multiple estimates, meet deadlines, and support cost control. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and building codes. • Experience with estimating software, spreadsheets, and general computer applications (e.g., MS Excel, Word, and PDF tools). • Strong analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills for accurate takeoffs and cost calculations. • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and clients. • Prior experience as an HVAC estimator or in mechanical contracting is preferred; relevant technical training or degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field is beneficial. • Commitment to safety practices and alignment with OSHA and company safety standards. • Why Join MYCO Mechanical?At MYCO Mechanical, we pride ourselves on delivering quality projects with safety at the forefront.
