Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff and students in accordance with state laws and departmental policies. Complete accurate, legible, and clear documentation within the established timeframe, adhering to departmental policies, accreditation requirements, and insurance regulations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and health care team members to maximize the benefits of care, utilizing AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You). Assess the educational needs of the patient, family, or caregivers and provide relevant education. Engage in professional growth and development by participating in educational programs, including workshops, in-service meetings, and current literature review. Actively participate in quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery. Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by complying with approved safety standards. Function within the scope of practice defined by state practice acts. Perform other related duties as required and directed.
