Key Responsibilities • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for clients, establishing a supportive rapport to understand their needs and challenges. • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client and treatment team, ensuring comprehensive strategies for recovery. • Lead individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on overcoming addiction and negative behavior patterns. • Utilize charting systems to document client progress, facilitating effective communication with relevant stakeholders. • Monitor clients during therapy sessions and maintain fluid communication regarding any emerging issues or behavioral changes. • Collaborate with clinical directors and fellow counselors to discuss treatment approaches and share client insights for holistic care. • Maintain professional relationships with clients, their families, and staff, supporting a culture of trust and respect. • Stay informed of best practices and ongoing training to effectively address a range of mental health concerns. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will focus on a diverse patient population, assisting individuals who may be coping with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will play a vital role in empowering clients to navigate their challenges and promote long-term recovery. Qualifications • A Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. • Current licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LICSW according to state regulations. • No history of medical malpractice claims, verified through third-party sources. • Authorization to work in the United States. • Strong communication skills with proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing). • A proactive and positive attitude, conducive to working effectively in fast-paced and pressure-driven environments. • Excellent physical and mental health to manage the demands of counseling work. Preferred Experience • Demonstrated experience in individual and group therapy settings. • Experience working in community health or similar environments will be advantageous. • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage and document client progress efficiently.
