Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, overseeing, and integrating safety and security programs for the Center. Must be available to work any shift and day of the week due to a 24/7 operation.ResponsibilitiesEnsures and enforces all laws, rules and policies within his/her scope of authority.Foot patrols all assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and persons, and other unusual conditions.Aids and assists visitors, student employees, and staff in every way possible.Performs building security and safety checks.Receives complaints and performs appropriate investigations.Provides transportation service as needed.Investigates vehicle accidents at the Center.Issues visitor passes and temporary parking permits.Performs main entrance duty.Assists staff in quelling disturbances.Prepares written accident reports and other reports as required.Coordinates recruiting, selecting, and training of security cadets.Participates in preparation and enforcement of Center's safety and fire prevention program.Conducts daily briefing with security cadets that cover assignments, proper dress, and procedures.Provides written and oral reports, briefings, or summaries to appropriate staff.Ensures all equipment is properly maintained.Provides vehicle checks to entering and exiting traffic.Adheres to required property control policies and procedures.Works towards meeting performance standard goals.Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Bizzell policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.Demonstrates and abides by The Bizzell Group's core values and operating principles.Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.Participation in PRH-mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary actions up to and including termination.Assists in maintaining student security and accountability during training, day and evening, by continuously walking through those areas where students are being trained, having lunch, participating in dorm activities, recreational activities, and monitoring grounds over the entire Center.Performs other duties as assigned.Effective CommunicationPresents information both clearly and concisely and regularly confirms correct interpretation of information.Very high standard of communication skills both written and verbal for the presentation of facts and ideas.Shows professional non-verbal body language and actively listens to others.Organization of WorkAction oriented. Abides by The Bizzell Group's Healthy Workplace Environment policy.Acts as team player and builds professional relationships with coworkers to achieve goals.QualificationsComputer literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.Knowledge in operating security and surveillance equipment.Knowledge of basic security procedures.High level of good judgement and observation skills.ExperienceTwo years security, law enforcement, military, or related experience. Safety related training preferred.At least one year in a residential living setting and background in youth programs preferred.EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. Adjunct Lecturer in Online Nursing PMHNP Program Fully Remote • Remote-USA - x, MA 00000 Overview Position Type Adjunct Description The Richard and Sheila Young School of Nursing is seeking applicants for adjunct online teaching positions in the rapidly growing graduate nurse practitioner and DNP programs. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Graduate Online Nursing, these positions work collaboratively with the Dean of Nursing, Assistant Dean of Nursing, and Graduate Program Directors and in partnership with our online partners. All nurse practitioner certification specialties are accepted for consideration with psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program being a priority. Essential Functions • Teach online nursing students admitted at various entry points (for example, associate degree through doctoral). • Deliver online teaching content via Moodle online learning management platform (didactic and/or practicum content). • Problem-solve and provide course oversight maintain ongoing, professional, clear, and consistent communication with students, Course Coordinators, Program Directors, Associate Dean or Assistant Dean of Online Nursing, and others as necessary through various modalities including electronic email, telephone calls, text messages or virtual meetings. • Adhere to Regis College's policy for faculty course presence, grading turnaround time, and student response time. • Maintain and attend required office hours. • Maintain expertise in online teaching methodologies. • Complete end-of-course evaluations. • Attend all Adjunct Faculty mandatory meetings called by Course Coordinator and others, as requested. • Complete midterm and final grade reports in a timely manner. • Provide students alternative learning experiences. • Hold group meetings, drop-ins, and study groups for students as needed. Other Responsibilities • Monitor student participation in courses. • Assist in connecting students with resources offered by the college Qualifications Requirements • Doctoral Degree preferred (degree in process considered); Master's Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner Certification; CNE preferred and/or Online teaching course work preferred. • Active and unencumbered RN/APRN licensure in home state and RN license in Massachusetts prior to employment for all NP tracks; maintain active licensure throughout teaching. • Active APRN practice, if applicable, in-home state, for all NP specialty clinical/didactic courses. • Other credentials will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending upon the experience and expertise of the applicant. • Teaching Experience: Current experience with online teaching preferred. • Technology Experience: Microsoft Word and Excel; Zoom for conducting synchronous meetings; various learning management platforms; consistent and reliable internet access; reliable personal computer; consistent and reliable phone service. • Willingness to obtain licensure in related states per BON requirements. Initial requested additional state licensure may be reimbursable by Regis College and renewal of licensure at candidate's expense. • Ability to uphold the university's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community. Working Conditions/Physical Demands • Work at a distance, home based. Normal office environment, not subject to extremes in noise, odors, etc. • May spend extended periods at terminal, on telephone, or operating other office machines requiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
