Warehouse Manager At FDI, our small team atmosphere creates a great environment for our employees. Our team members are the key to our success by providing outstanding customer service. This position utilizes good customer service, organizational, and time-management skills in scheduling and receiving of incoming product and in shipping outgoing orders to customers. Scheduling for this position is Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., alternating Saturdays, and occasional weekends based on the fluctuation of business and holidays. Accountable and Reports to: General Manager Positions that Report to you: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Schedule deliveries for receiving appointments and prepare receiving documents. • Unload product from inbound carriers. • Responsible for keeping loading dock and warehouse clean and organized. • Responsible for stocking incoming product with assistance from warehouse staff. • Maintain inventory accuracy, rotating/restocking inventory to bin location, and conducting inventory counts. • Assist customers with questions on orders. • Supervise warehouse staff and overall productivity. • Maintain a positive attitude and create an environment that nurtures positive employee morale, friendliness and fun. • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in during all customer interaction. • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner. • Perform end of day, end of week, and end of month reporting. • Represent the company in a positive manner. • This position is constantly changing and evolving to new areas. • Perform duties in a timely manner and report to work when scheduled, on time, and work expected number of hours. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: • Understand proper packaging techniques for all items-perishable and non-perishable. • Sort packages by route, customer, or commodity. • Pick, pack, ship, and bill orders to customers in an efficient, cost-effective, and timely manner. • Enter information about packages into a manifest and labeling program. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: • Must be customer service driven and able to communicate clearly and effectively. • Must have basic working knowledge of computer use, to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook e-mail and calendars. Able to operate menu driven computer programs with mouse, 10 key keypad, and alpha numeric keyboard. • Ability to read and obey MSDS information on products. • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers. • Must have the ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions. • Must be able to file, post, sort, and organize materials, paperwork and software used. Education and Experience: High School or equivalent; and six months or less of similar or related experience. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to perform moderate physical work; exerting 10-40 pounds frequently, 50-100 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. • Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, climbing, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, hearing, and repetitive motions. • Must be able to perform work duties in a refrigerated environment. Working Conditions: The duties of this position are performed in a warehouse setting. There is exposure to noise and continual temperature changes. Equipment Used To Perform Job: Acumatica and Savant, PC with Excel and warehouse and shipping system, scanner, labeler, box cutter, ladder, cart, pallet jack, box strapper, and packaging equipment. Drivers ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer. Customer Service Specialist The customer service specialist is responsible for maintaining solid customer relationships by handling personal and commercial lines insurance coverage inquiries and concerns with speed and professionalism through daily interaction with customers, insurance carriers, and fellow employees while conducting specific service and marketing activities.
