Employees may also assist drivers with navigation, checking routes, and ensuring safe operation during pickups. This position typically pays $18 to $26 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, early morning shift pay, holiday pay, and performance or safety bonuses depending on location and route.Sanitation Workers are responsible for collecting trash and recycling, lifting and dumping bins into the garbage truck, operating hydraulic packers when trained, assisting drivers, following safety procedures, and ensuring routes are completed on schedule. Drivers must safely operate a company delivery truck, follow DOT regulations when applicable, use handheld devices to track deliveries and inventory, and follow company safety and merchandising standards. Drivers are responsible for meeting delivery schedules, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring vending machines and store shelves are stocked according to company standards.
