Operate wrapping machine. Provide customer service and ensures product quality and selection. Maintain cleanliness of department and equipment. Consistently provides world class customer service to internal and external customers. Perform other related work. Generally works 6-8 hour shifts between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm. Typical Duties and Responsibilities • Seeks opportunities to welcome, engage, serve and thank customers. Maintains an atmosphere of friendly, enthusiastic customer service with an emphasis of taking care of the customer. • Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on fast, friendly, courteous customer service. • Answers questions from customers. • Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques. • Weighs, trays, grinds, wraps, and prices poultry and meat. • Prevents sale of spoiled and outdated product by following laws and company policy on weighing, labeling, code dating and processing re-worked or (reduced-to-clear items), etc. • Ensures proper merchandising of product, signing, inventory level in retail cases, and eye-appeal of the department. • Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of work area, equipment, cutting room and retail cases according to company policy and legal regulations. • Stocks and rotates product. • Consolidates racks by moving trays from one rack to another. • Cleans mirrors, glass etc. • May assist Meat Cutters and Department Manager with other tasks as appropriate. • May participate in a Meat Cutter training program to learn basic meat cutting skills. • Performs other duties as assigned or needed. Requirements Ability to: • Work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation; including night, weekends and holidays. • Perform friendly, courteous, tactful interactions and maintain composure in dealing with customer and coworkers. • Conduct visual inspections, read production guides and product labels. • Properly use cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacture's guidelines and instructions. • Properly handle related food products per State and County laws, and WinCo standards. • Read and follow written work assignments and instructions. • Communicate (hearing & speech) when working on the sales floor. • Reach, lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to approximately 25 lbs. frequently and 30 - 60 lbs. occasionally. • Push and pull fully loaded hand trucks and pallet jacks. • Perform repetitious arm movements required to wrap, slice and process products. • Stand for long periods of time, walk and move rapidly, bend, twist and turn frequently. • Perform safe, quick movements and operate related equipment listed below with manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination. • Work for prolonged periods of time in a refrigerated area (32 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit) • Work with hands exposed to moisture while handling and stocking poultry and meat. • Learn product variability, perishability, safety and sanitation procedures, and dept. policies. • Perform basic math (add, subtract, divide and multiply) and compute weights and measures. • Wear hats, hairnets, gloves, and other personal protective equipment as required. • Perform primary duties with efficiency and accuracy. Additional Requirements: • Must be 18 years of age or older. • Food Handlers Certification (Per State Laws) Machines and Equipment Operated: • Scales, wrapping machines, slicers, cubers, pallet jacks, bailer, and hand trucks. Maintains an atmosphere of friendly, enthusiastic customer service with an emphasis of taking care of the customer. • Gathers carts manually and by using a remote controlled cart pusher, guiding carts, assembling carts, gathering stray carts, etc. • Picks up litter from the grounds, planters and the cart room. • Gathers stray carts in the store. • Empty recycle machine containers into proper bins (glass, aluminum, plastic). • Maneuver/stack bins for pick-up. • Performs other duties as assigned or needed. Requirements Ability to: • Consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers. • Work varied hours primarily between the hours of 7:00 am to 11:00 pm in a 24/7 operation; including night, weekends and holidays. • Walk, push, pull, and maneuver grocery carts up to 100 lbs. occasionally. • Reach in front and bend to pick up items at ground level. • Stand, walk and move rapidly for long periods of time. • Work out of doors in cold, hot, and inclement weather conditions. • Exhibit mental awareness of what is going around them for safety in the parking lot. • See carts needing to be gathered. • Exhibit customer relation skills. • Learn safety and department policies & procedures. • Hear audible requests (i.e., pages, customers asking questions). • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. often from floor to 6 ft. high. • Ability to maneuver up to 100 lbs. occasionally. • Wear reflective vest while outside. • Must be 16 years of age or older. • Perform primary duties efficiently and accurately. Main Ingredients of the Job As a US FOODS Delivery Driver, you will be critical to the US FOODS team and one of the important faces of our organization. As a Delivery Driver, you will have an impact on our customers by delivering our meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies to their drop-off sites. Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service. • Deliver best-in-class Customer Service. • Deliver customers orders to meet scheduled delivery times and keep productivity. • Unload products with a hand truck and place items in the customer storage area. • Able to perform repeated, manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds. • Make frequent stops during a work shift. • Deliver product in inclement weather conditions. • Verify delivery of items with customers. What you bring to the table • Must be at least 21 years of age. • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. • Valid U.S. drivers license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required • No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no drivers license suspensions in the past three years. • Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry required. • Must be able to pass DOT physical. The expected base rate for this role is $33.62. As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation.
