Delivery Driver The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and Federal and State regulations and to deliver all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver and load and unload materials while providing a world-class customer service experience. Duties & Responsibilities • Inspect truck and trailer for defects to ensure safe operation. • Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload products at commercial and residential job sites. • Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by customers while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others. • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing. • Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations. • Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment. • Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading and unloading. • Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude. Basic Qualifications • Must have a valid driver's license. • Must have a clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report. • Must have knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations. • High School diploma or GED. Physical Requirements • Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle approximately 40% of the time. • Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbeds. • Constantly move materials from commercial motor vehicles onto job sites. • Operate commercial motor vehicles and/or boom vehicles. • Position self to unload materials from flatbeds or booms. • Judge distance while delivering materials and operating boom equipment. • Communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information. • Work constantly in an outdoor environment while making deliveries. Required Cognitive Skills • Prioritize job sites and deadlines. • Manage stress based on customer deadlines. • Multitask effectively. • Receive and follow information and directions. • Quickly communicate solutions when problems occur. • Demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement. From a project perspective, determine the level of effort needed for the implementation considering the SDLC. • Communicate regularly with functional teams on the development of projects, changes, and other work impacting Workday to avoid side effects. • Configure, document & test configuration and functionality per requirements. • Support development of user test cases to ensure all scenarios are included. • Validate and load compensation, security or HCM related EIBs as needed. • Create custom reports and configure or create custom calculated fields for reports as needed. • Maintain proper use and transmission of sensitive data and participate in system and data quality compliance activities. • Work across HR & Payroll Digital Technology Functions including Data conversion, HCM, Security, Production Support, PMO, GPS & Payroll • Partner with internal team to ensure knowledge transfer to all teams including other areas of Workday.
